The type of woman that you greet with a compliment and some applause, Dame - very important title, you see - Olivine Ford exudes excellence and demands even more. Just ask the poor staff team, Award Season is always the busiest time of the year for her. The grandest, the most taxing, but all is worth it in the search of Fine Arts. You see, Panem needs fine art like nature needs life.

Otherwise, what's the point? 

Olivine had spent the last hour in her on-set wardrobe, icing her feet and scrolling through the NERVAlink feed terminal set up on the wall before her. She had very specific requests, as she usually does, such as the room being only decorated in jewel tones - to concentrate her energies - and only being addressed by other Capitolites who's name start with Oli-. Every celebrity has their superstitions, especially those raised under the original big brother, but simply if it ain't broke, don't even bother fixing it. 

You see, she's been in this business for almost a Century. There aren't many people alive with as much experience as her, Olivine's not taking any chances at this point. The Age of Tech might be the most overwhelming thing she's ever witnessed - and this is a woman who ate rat tails to survive nuclear fallout - but hell if it hasn't made life endlessly easier. Her grandson, Romeo, usually sets these devices up for her ahead of time, but she's locked herself away from even him today.

Please, everyone stand and welcome your host, Dame Olivine Ford! Smaller than ever, the snazzy music plays as petite 4'11 Ford makes her way across the stage, tablet tucked under her arm. Entering the 10th Decade of Entertainment, Olivine acts as a symbol of excellence, of prestige and of history. The mic doesn't pick up her scattered Woah's! and Hey's! that come from seeing the grandiose set and its engulfing audience for the first time. 

Instead, it amps up as she begins her speech, "good evening everybody, welcome to the 9th Golden Olivebranch Awards. Wow, just wow, 90 years already... I'd say I remember when I started this legacy, but I'd be lying." She takes a quick glance at her notes, mostly eyeing up the itinerary. "It's with the utmost pleasure that I get to invite you all back to this Awards Program, nothing is more important in this day and age than paying respects to the art & tributes we've created."

"It is also with much excitement that I get to introduce this great program tonight, as I have a very intense Tetris game to return to once I'm done here. A quick acknowledgment to the late Presidents Imperiosa Ironsquall & Cornelius Snow, it's impossible to imagine Panem today without the influence of these two resilient, determined leaders. Second, to our prime sponsor and network executive, Zeus Hollistero, for not firing me. Lastly, to Fenta Nyl, for the caffeine pills that are keeping me awake right now - I think that's what I took!"

There's a second when the audience laughs where Dame Ford looks for her assistant for confirmation. She can't quite remember, but that may just be a side effect of... what were we talking about? "Lined up tonight are 19 fabulous awards and the fine presenters that come along with them, next up is the next oldest person they could find - Carver Le Roux. Please, give the whole line up a round of applause, they really are the best of the best the Capitol has to offer."
