they are quite confused by just how cold it actually is right now. the moment they walk outside, their body feels the chill right down to their bones.

they think about sitting in front of the fire place first before they think about the night of drinking they had just participated in. they were going to have some strong paintings when they finally sat down and worked on them.

she stands outside with everyone, as we were told to get outside and get some fresh air. the snow looks gorgeous, and they cant seem to help themselves but want to play in it.

they look to joyce and give a light smile through the crack of the scarf that her mouth did appear through. they then picked up a hunk of snow and realized that they hadnt really played in it for a while. they looked at joyce and then to lovie and smirked. perfect.

they began to form it into little mounds until they picked it up in their hand. they were tough, and knew that no one would be spared from their aim. they took a deep breath as a snowball had been formed in their hand. "snowball fight!" she called out for the others as she threw the one that was formed in her hand in the direction of coley.

Snowball fights felt overdone like, ten winter solstices ago, when Farah had decided she was absolutely too cool for school at the ripe old age of six years old. But god damn she loves a challenge, and if she's not the centre of attention when someone at Snowspire screams "FIGHT!" then what's the point?

"Twist my arm" she mutters, biting down a grin, and hurls herself into the battlefield to stand across from Bronte. 

"Coley! On me!" Farah commands, sheltering him from Bronte's shot that goes wide anyway. "Someone's outta practice!" she chides, tongue in-cheek, trying not to shiver as ice turns her fingers pink and blue. Fingerless gloves seemed like a good idea at the time - she's regretting that fashion statement right about now.

She takes aim at the inevitable: Hanna's face. No time for friendly fire - but is it ever friendly when Farah's around? The answer is hell no, full force in the arc of her arm as a snowball hurtles through the chilling air.

Breaking news: snow. 

Seriously? That's the draw back of my talent, can't bike when the cement pavement's all covered in blankets of snow. Going mach speed, I'm used to the bitter cold, but it seems like whenever I go stationary I start to freeze, man. My feet are dragging trails in the snow on my way over the bike rack by instinct and I don't even bother fighting it, just get me on my BMX and see how far I get away from here, man. 

While I can, at least. It's a short break but a joy ride's a joy ride regardless. I'm busy fidgeting with the chains, fingers numbering in the cold when I hear something whizz past my head and smack against the wall behind me. "The hell?!" Can't a man have some peace around here? I look up from my cycle in time to watch Farah completely whiff, and I can't help but bust out laughing.

Who taught these kids how to throw? Good thing their talents weren't baseball or something, let's leave that to the real jocks. I'd never get caught up in something as stupid as a snowball fight...

Is what I'd say if I weren't getting ready to nail Coley with a snowball. I stick my chewed up gum on a rock and roll it in the snow as the fight breaks out - what? It'll make it easier to throw, right? Hopefully I don't miss and knock out a window. I saddle up on my BMX and squint, aiming for Coley's ass.

Easy curveball! Hope that didn't hurt too much, but now it's time for me to head for the hills. I hit the kickstand off my BMX and bounce the wheels atop the snow. "Be back in five, nerds!" Save the target practice for the other thick skulls in my year, I have sights to see before class picks back up again. Snow, snow and more snow. 

Sigh.
