Game over comes as quick as tick, tick, boom! 

Her budget was blown on this game and it explodes prematurely not even one full round into the bloodbath. No one had even died yet! Hollywood's eyes narrowed in on the disaster as Player 005's next moment would become her last. Unprovoked, the bomb detonates two tiles down, glass tiles combusting around and into Ruth Strauss as shrapnel pieces blow across the room. 

The other contestants are escorted from the premises as Holly shuts down the game. It's clear the V.I.P.s are pissed - a malfunction wiping out a top competitor, shit. That's pretty bad, folks. A top 4 finale wouldn't be so bad if there were budget to stretch the 5th game, but the loss of control struck something at Holly's core. 

As soon as she could get out of the room, she found herself storming to G3 in the CTRL Room, barging in with a "man, what the fuck happened?! The whole room came down not even thirty seconds, it was so lame."  

"And it killed Player 5, I had SO much money on her, man!"

i see it before she kicks open the door. the bomb blows up player five on the second screen when she steps on a clear tile and i miss the bid for the jelly jubjub. ah hell.

i'm pulling up the service when Holly's barging in pissed.

when she said minesweeper i was like great! AIT had that on the curriculum as the third project in ECE 180, piece of cake babyy. it was freshman year, i forgot i wrote that project on my phone while in the port-a-potty of an outdoor rave in the middle of the desert. lmao i shouldn't have reworked that bit. kinda only got a B.

i turn around in the chair, and she's begging for an eye roll. "you're paying me an intern salary Holly. inflation is lit-eral-ly so high right now, how's a kid supposed to afford his fucking NFTs?"

minesweeper is a stupid game anyways. i said we should've just made irl sims – lock 'em in a house together with no door and make the stoves weirdly flammable.

"but fine, i'll make the finale extra special, 'kay? you want fireworks or something?"

Holly felt sick thinking of all the money production wasted on this game. If she had a moral code, it was probably just Capitalism in masquerade. Wasted money hit her harder than any life loss - Player 005 was okay, but damn did they have a lot of money backing her. "I have Harvey Nash on my ass and you're worried about NFTs?? Hello, are you delusional?!

Earth to Genesis! 

She paces the room for a second before continuing in on G3, "we've got to rework the whole finale to fit 2 extra finalists now. You better shoot fireworks out of my ass or something dude," she hated improv. Holly was meticulous, a perfectionist by virtue and neurotic to boot - "the kill scene was dope though, I'm not gonna lie."
