Oof!

Shiori started to cry as the stack of books in her arms tumbled down and feel to the ground. It was a busy day and she had taken all of her books home with her so she could study for the rest of the night. She had already ignored the calls from her friends telling her to hang out with them, already pushed past the busy traffic of eccentric residents of District 6, and what stopped her from her seamless rush home was some kid jostling her. She didn’t have time to waste and she hated whoever had pushed her, regardless of what happened to them.

“What do you think you’re doing?! Don’t you have eyes?”

Her mother was not going to be pleased.

Sparkle has had a day that has gone from bad to extremely horrible. Her day started out with her not getting up in time. She knew what was bad because that meant she was late getting to school and that was not fun for her. But that was not the worst for her at all. She was rushing through a bunch of people trying to get somewhere when she bumped into another girl. She heard the exclamation from the female as sparkle hit the floor.

“What do you think you’re doing?! Don’t you have eyes?”

Sparkle wanted to cry a little. She didn't know what she had done at all. She had accidently bumped into someone. It was bad a lot of time now and she was a afraid to answer the female. So she just stared at her and she felt water rolling down her cheek. She didn't want to admit she was about to cry.

Shiori finally took the time to see that the girl was on the ground, but in the heat of the moment, she could not care less. She hated how the girl was only staring at her, wouldn’t say anything at her, looking ready to cry. She shouldn’t be allowed to cry! She bumped into me! Shiori kept thinking irrationally as she collected her books, trying to reform the perfect stack she had before the collision.

“Now I’m behind and I’ve wasted my time and…why are you not speaking! Stop staring at me like that.”

She was not supposed to be seen, that was what Mother and Father always said. She wasn’t supposed to be heard either, but she was in no mood to be rational.

“Now I’m behind and I've wasted my time and…why are you not speaking! Stop staring at me like that.”

Sparkle knew the girl she had accidently bumped into had no emotion at all. From her way she said that to the glare she got. Sparkle tried to get up as fast as she could and brush herself off and pick up her stuff. She knew she had to say something but what was the difference.

"Sorry for bumping into you and making you fall behind. I am just lost here and was running to where ever I was suppose to be next. I am just a cluts. I didn't mean to bump into you honestly at all." The way she spoke she was senciere and heartfelt. The one thing sparkle never did was try to lie to someone. When she apologized it was truthful all the time.

Finally, the other girl spoke, calming Shiori down. She admitted that she had felt uncomfortable when the girl did not initially respond, which was probably why she had raised her voice so much. However, the tone the girl used made Shiori uncomfortable still, albeit in a different way. She had expected some shouting back, some upset words, but the girl only apologized and tried to explain why she had run into Shiori like Shiori had no part in the collision. What was it Mother would always say?

“It’s…it’s alright.” That was all Shiori could manage to scramble out as she tried to remember the polite thing to say. She hated how sincere the girl was. “Where…are you trying to go?” The other girl had mentioned that she was lost, right? Shiori believed that she gave the girl the help she required, then that would qualify as a form of apology. It was her way to circumvent an admission that she was in the wrong.
