Appearance:

Although he is only 17 years old, Phenom is a commanding figure as he stands 6'6", which is tall for being 17 years old; and his build is muscular and athletic, which was a result of years of training at the academy as a career tribute. This makes him look older than he really is. However, people in town describe him as "the golden boy" because of his black hair, blue eyes, and dazzling smile. The combination of all that make him truly look like "the golden boy", like the boy next door, the kind of boy you would want your daughter to marry. His skin was only lightly tanned and not weather-beaten as some other teens who had to do manual labor to help contribute to their family. Phenom's family was very well off, which provided him the opportunity to lead a privileged life of eating well and having the best of everything. This was evident in Phenom's overall physical appearance.

However in spite of his "golden boy" appearance, Phenom could also seem intimidating due to his large frame, not that he wanted to appear to be so, it was just how people saw him. In addition, if you looked deep into his eyes and watched him carefully, every now and then something deep in his eyes made him look a little distant, mysterious, and what could be described as possibly psychotic. He obviously never wanted people to see that distant dark side of him, so he was very careful not to let it come out, but people who know or who have seen that side of him know that that it is still there, deep down somewhere, unsure of when it will come back out. His training in the academy made him as mentally sharp as he was physically and, because of this, he knows exactly how to contain his dark side most of the time. His one flaw is the blood thirstiness in his eyes. Though he could hide it well when he wanted to, it tended to show in his eyes when he was training and it has often gotten many whispers on why that is and why Phenom seems to be the most ready to kill

Personality

As he comes from District One, Phenom's personality very much fits his looks. Obviously, as with all District One teens, he trained at the academy from a very young age, as do all "careers" as they are known. He does this in the hope that one day he can volunteer, and be picked, as a tribute in the games. He takes great pride in becoming the best "career" potential tribute that he can be and, like other potential tributes, is somewhat boastful and over-confident of his career training and skills. Essentially he is the type of tribute that the district would like to see win the hunger games.

But, again, beneath that "golden boy" exterior, is Phenom's dark side, which he does not allow to come up to the surface very often. That dark side is both a hindrance and a blessing. It is a hindrance because he has to try hard to keep that side of him locked away, deep within himself, but yet that dark side allows him to disconnect himself from a situation and see it from almost a third person view, like a movie, where his over confidence makes him omni-potent to himself. He believes he is above everyone else and if he was to be reaped that he truly believes he will have the games already in the bag.

However, in addition to his typical "Career" personality, Phenom has been defiant nearly his entire training life. If he hurts someone in the academy and he is told to tone down his ferocity at training, Phenom wont listen. He believes he has to train as hard as he can possibly push himself in order to be truly ready for the arena and if he isn't going full force then he might as well give up now because he knows the arena will be ten times harder then anything the academy can truly ready himself for.

History

Phenom is a monster at his age. He is extremely tall and so ready for the hunger games that some wonder why he hasn't volunteered yet. Phenom however hasn't volunteered yet because he wants to be as ready as he feels he is in order to compete and until now he felt weak and that wasn't acceptable in his mind. The academy has taught Phenom that winning the hunger games is a huge honor to bring upon the district and that by winning the games he would forever be immersed in history by becoming a victor and Phenom has taken that to heart.

His family despite their wealth and good living conditions have only given birth to just two children which as Phenom and one daughter. Phenom's sister is only fourteen who is also training at the academy. Phenom's desire to be the best and the strongest has even started to cause a rift between him and his sister as one day the teachers wanted to pit brother against sister and his sister didn't want to hurt her own brother, but Phenom didn't care if he was fighting his sister or some stranger, he fought and injured his own sister and the academy knows Phenom doesn't care now who he faces just that he will fight.

Phenom is alone. He doesn't truly have any friends yet. All he wants to do is train for the hunger games. He has no time or desire to make friends. Phenom has no remorse whatsoever for the discord he is causing amongst potential friends. Phenom with all of his training isn't without flaws, his attitude toward the hunger games has already started to change Phenom as a person, its as if he has no feelings or remorse left and that could lead to his downfall in the arena.
