Some were definitely more keen to go and get themselves killed than others. Alex is the kind of career that would volunteer, but he would be prepared for the realities of the arena. His life revolves around it in the way that it does for all careers. He lives to train and lives to kill or be killed in that arena. His opinions are similar to his non-identical twin Brother, Tyren - in that they both agree that the Capitol should be in control of the districts. As long as nobody is being harmed by the control. They believe that the Games are necessary because of the other districts. He and Tyren both blame them for the previous rebellion and so they are both fueled by the hatred that others would have for the Capitol, while they have it for the lower districts that rebelled. Appearance Alex is more muscular than his athletically built Brother. He is the one that prefers to get up close and personal. He trains more at boxing and fist fighting than medical care and such. He face is a little rounder and his smaller brown eyes make his rough looking face a little shade of fierce. He has a jagged stubble which appears to be well groomed, and is more naturally rough than unkempt. Where Tyren is short, Alex is taller. But more likely because Tyren is short, while Alex is rather average at around 5"9. His upper body is in contrast to his lower body because he clearly uses his upper more. His legs seem built to run and jolt rather than slam and kick. His upper body is quite large, clearly worked on. He and his Brother both share the same tattoo in the same place. A vulture carrying the flag of Panem within its beak, and in its claws there are many districts being carried. It is fully black and covers most of his back. It is identical to Tyren's version. They both acquired this upon reaching 17. They both got this gift early from their rich parents due to the fact that when they turn eighteen, it will likely be one of their last times in the district if they succeed in Volunteering. Personality Where Tyren is quiet and calculating, Alex is confident and ruthless. They aren't in contrast to each other personality-wise. Each of them are ruthless and dominant, but Alex is definitely not as smart as Tyren. He would prefer to jump into a fight rather than talk his way out of one. But together they balance each other out. Tyren would be the smarter one who knows when Alex should be more confident and even violent. Whereas Alex would be the one who knows when Tyren should stop hiding and start fighting. Alex is more patriotic than Tyren in that Alex would do more for the Capitol than his Brother. But Alex is less interested in why the Capitol is in charge. A better way to explain the two of them is Alex being the dog on a chain, Tyren being the Eagle in the air scouting the environment. His Father has a huge influence on him, since his side of the family are somewhat frequent in producing good peacekeepers. Usually held with great honor, Alex sees his Father as the peak of Peacekeeping, in that he chose not to be one in order to train a better one in his two sons. Something he would happily do in the future. But it's more than that, as he takes up his mannerisms such as looking a bit cocky all the time. But definitely caring more about what needs to be done than what should be done. His Mother doesn't all too much identify with Alex. She and her didn't tend to get along simply because He was off doing more dangerous things whilst she was home worrying. She was afraid to tell him not to do the dangerous things because his Father was too busy encouraging them. This caused a bit of a void in their relationship and it is something that he regrets he didn't help repair when he was younger. Now, the bond is tenuous forever. Unless something drastic happens that forces them to care more. History A District Two child, Alex was born to two loving Parents. One who could protect him until all danger had gone. And somebody who could help him become the best he could be. That being his Mother and Father, of course. He was born relatively finely, with little to no complications. Being in a top-end District meant that he could have this privilege and live to tell the tale. Alex was brought up to understand the Hunger Games quite entirely. Why they happened, How, even who. But it wasn't until he was around Seven that he was allowed to watch his first one fully. It was brutal. In his young eyes it was next to nothing he had expected. He knew they would 'perish' but he didn't think about the blood nor the guts... Since then, he did carry on watching them annually. Cry when his favorites died, cheer when they won a battle. Cringe when they make really dumb moves. He grew to like watching them, but more because he wanted to be in them. He thought back then it would be easy - prove everyone wrong he would. Do it for the District, just like the posters say. Nah, not at his age he couldn't. Besides, everyone in school wanted to pretty much, too. Besides those who wanted to be peacekeepers. People had the freedom to choice in these Districts because somebody, somewhere would end up volunteering. When he turned twelve he faced his first Reaping. As opposed to his Brother, Tyren, he was actually wanting to be reaped. Obviously he wasn't, so he ended up being a little disappointed. But he wasn't going to try and volunteer since his Father told him to wait until he was truly ready. He is very eager, and this is a downside in terms of how he interacts with others. He can be imposing on their will, sometimes. And can be seen as too ruthless for friendship. Now, he has identified with himself much more. Being Seventeen he has much more freedom over how he feels and what he wants to do. He definitely wants to continue training for the Games and Pregames. But he isn't all to sure what to do afterwards. Probably pursue his will to become a peacekeeper. Though that would start at 18, so volunteering next year would have to be a requirement if he wants a chance at being in the Games - unless he is reaped.

Hey Anatra,

There's only one thing that needs to be fixed -- peacekeepers are not allowed to be married or have children during their twenty years of service. You could possibly say that Alex is from a family that often produces peacekeepers instead.
