Tall and slender, Pearl has long, silky blonde hair usually worn in a low ponytail down her back and slightly dulled-out green eyes. She has a flawless complexion, fair skin and is naturally beautiful, not requiring any makeup to enhance her looks. She has a small circle-shaped birthmark on her upper right arm, near her shoulder. Pearl is regarded as normal in her district, and nobody really takes notice of her, not even her parents. She has a slightly pointed nose.
Pearl prefers to dress casually; jeans, oversized sweaters and jumpers, and overalls. She likes to choose light but dulled colours for her clothing and favours plain sneakers for shoes. She considers herself to be naturally beautiful and perfectly ordinary. Pearl is 167cm in height and weighs 53.8kg.

Pearl is caring, kind,thoughtful and intelligent, able to pick up information quickly. She is skilled in throwing the knife, due to training lessons she took throughout her life due to her family's insistence. Pearl is sympathetic and kind, willing to help anyone who is in physical or emotional pain, either by comforting them or something else. Before she makes decisions, she thinks about it and about the outcome of the action. Pearl is smart to an extent but can be a little scatterbrained at times.

Pearl is casual, questioning of the Capitol, private and rather complex. She is raised in District 1, so she's caught up in the Games-loving citizens around her. But Pearl can't help but question the Games and why the districts are being punished for something that happened a long time ago by long-dead rebels. She is casual in conversations, and never spills any of her secrets or other secrets others have told her. Pearl enjoys watching the Games, but deep down she knows it's wrong - but she also knows that she can't do anything about it as the Capitol is all-powerful, and that anyone who opposes them will be killed or mutilated.

Pearl is obsessive, quick to anger, impulsive and doubts herself. She believes that if she is ever reaped into a Hunger Game she will not win, despite having numerous knife throwing lessons and other fighting lessons when she was eleven. The simplest thing can set her off, from seeing the president on television or watching the other districts talk about District One and about how all of District One is spoiler and Capitol lapdogs as this is untrue for Pearl. She has been fuming over this for the past few years ever since she found out at age thieteen. Sometimes, Pearl will act without thinking - and often the aftermath is disastrous.

Pearl was born to her parents, Jules and Shimmer Dewlittle, on June 17 in District One. She was raised in a wealthy family, and therefore could afford anything she wanted. If she wanted a diamond necklace, she would get it, even if it was a fake. Growing up spoiled, Pearl was age five by the time she stopped throwing tantrums when she didn't get what she wanted. She loved the games back in these days.
5 - 10 Years of Age
Pearl had made a best friend by this time from her school, a girl her age called Opal Galaxia. The two were the best of friends, doing everything together. Opal eased Pearl out of her spoiled era into a much more sensible girl. Pearl appreciated Opal. However, her parents forced her to stop being friends with Opal, as they didn't approve of the latter. Despite this, Pearl and Opal kept being best friends, at school, without their parents' knowledge. During this time, Pearl began training for the Hunger Games, as most District One youth do, in preparation. There, she picked up knife throwing, shooting with a bow and arrow and running fast.
10 - 15 Years of Age
Pearl kept training, learning survival skills this time. Upon her tenth birthday, Pearl had grown into a tall, sensible and naturally beautiful girl. She became immensely popular at school due to her looks, quickly getting befriended by multiple girls. Soon, she had a whole group of friends, but Pearl never let go of Opal ... Until Pearl was twelve. She was at her first reaping, looking for Opal. Pearl could not find her. Once she arrived home, her mother gave her the terrible news that Opal had been taken into custody by the Capitol, and then killed for creating a few knives and giving them to wanderers. Heartbroken, Pearl vowed to hate the Capitol forever, and all the other districts for letting the Capitol do these horrible things to them and not lift a finger. She eventually got over the pain at age fourteen, though she would never forget her first and best friend, Opal. She wanted to stop her lessons, but her parents would not let her stop.
