Me? An ambassador? Say it ain't so. 

Keeks says it's because I'm a Saggittarius but honestly I don't really know what she's talkin' about there. All that star lingo goes right over my head and so I'll just nod along, askin' how being born in fall makes me non committal. Look, it ain't my fault I've had four bad break ups, I think I'm just meant to die all alone like little Enzo thought would happen. Everythin' around me keeps changing, but me? Naw! No way, just a few inches taller these days. 

Apparently it is a thing for folk like me to enjoy travellin' and I'll take that. Opportunities keep on a comin' my way somehow, and who am I to turn 'em down? I make sure to give laffy Saffy the old ring a ding before packing my bags. She's got this wicked sixth sense when it comes to my antics, I couldn't even get it out before she'd guessed why I was callin' in the first place. Just the other week I impulse bought a coffee maker and left it sittin' on the kitchen counter, still in the box, and not even the next day she was goin' on about how I should invest in one. Did you know caffeine helps out with ADHD? I sure as hell didn't, but hell if I ain't get addicted immediately. 

So I get shipped out on a train ride first thing this morning, overcoat down to my knees. I'm getting sent out to bare witness to some conference about industry changes; guess we're one of the lucky ones, District 10 ain't been messed with in decades. It makes sense, all we do is keep our heads down and stay out of trouble, a much smaller target in comparison to that of 9 and 11. I ain't one for politics, the rest of my family had that under lock and key for so long but it ain't ever been much interest to me. 

Too many big words, man. 

The station in 2 greets me with the smell of sewage and garbage, I don't know how I didn't anticipate it but it nearly kicks me to the seat of my pants. "Whew! That's fuckin' gnarly," and the guy next to me just chuckles and keeps it movin', nobody seems to be bothered but me, but hell I can't even mouth breathe without the taste of trash assaulting me. This is miserable, but a bit of him found it funny thinking Shy was somewhere in the midst of it all, newfound king of trash. 

Eon was out here too - at the station, actually. I've got two leather suitcases by my side and my head held high, trying to peak over bodies looking out for him. Part of me doesn't even know if I'd recognize him, it's been so long since we'd been face to face. I push my way far enough through the crowd to make it to the platform's gate, resting my luggage on the ground beside me as I search for Renner, whistlin' to myself that old tune about whiskey.
