What I just realized... {Hayley

Dolly Anne Redici tended to perfer to lay on her bed, face up and look at the ceiling in the morning. Honestly, she found it to be one of the more pleasant experiences of life. Watching the small crevices in the ceiling twirl around eachother. She rolled her hair between her forefinger and thumb, trying to make sense of why she was thinking. Honestly, it was two in the morning and she was quite tired, though her mind had been focused on something for a long time now. God, she had been out of the detention center for a good few weeks now and had her gaze fixated on the ceiling for a good three fourths of this time. Sure, she had gotten up and slept, but if she was laying down, due to a relative laziness, she had just sat there, gazing at the ceiling with a dramatic gaze in her green eyes and a fixation on making sure that her dark brown hair was constantly pressed to one finger, inbetween the nails.

She considered this for a moment, looking at the coarse hairs that her in her hand. God, she was being unproductive. Doing nothing but sitting there around, thinking about how life had been so twisted. Sure, it was bound to happen at some point. Yes, but not with her own brother God, that was just sick and twisted. And they were the people that were considered to be relativley hateful of eachother. Wanting to despise eachother in a tatic of insanity. She looked at her fingernails, something she had at one point taken much care of. She looked at the chipped paint and slight decrease in length in disgust, focusing the small amount of anger she had left, or emotion in general; towards the hair that sat in her palm. Yanking a few strands from her head, she wondered.

She wondered what would happen if she was an only child. She'd probably not be as screwed up as she was currently, with her head against the wall and an intent on lonliness. Sure, she was accompanied by a quite alive being that wasn't visible at the moment, something she'd rather not think about. Her green eyes traced the ceiling with an intresting pattern to them. She pondered this for a second, finally just feeling angered. Why was she just sitting her, emotionless with nothing in her right mind? She dropped the hair in her palm and looked at the ceiling one last time. She'd stop this habit that had been circling her mind since the beggining of the exit. She just was done. Sure, her arson in the detention center's sentence had been something that she felt still, but being smothered by her friendly childhood walls opposed to the unfamiliar steel ones was just horrible. She looked up at the door and sat up, rubbing her head. God, it was quite stupid how she was just being who she was, doing nothing but leaning against the wooden bed, but she got up and stood up.

She rose to her feet and stood on her toes, trying to find something to think about. Thinking, or cruel and quick thinking had once been her specialty... She finally just crossed her hands over the other and dramatically sashayed through the house. Her bare feet padded on the flooring and she blinked her cruel gaze at the family's cat. Stupid cat, laying on the floor. What a stupid, fat cat with nothing to do in life but lick himself by the fireplace and sit there like an imbecle. She wished she could just kill the damn animal, trying to find herself with the kitchen knife. She pondered this and finally just slipped into the kitchen and reached for a shining silver knife from the wooden knife block. She recalled that her family had been quite intrested in keeping kitchen utencils in the right place, so when she plucked a black handled knife from it, she knew it was the perfect one. Her hand grasped the knife in her palm and strolled back into the living room.

With that, she looked at the cat, her green eyes against it's blue tabby surface. A gift from her parents when she turned ten, she had loved that cat so much. She had named it something like smoke or a word that she found to be appropriate for the coloring. But now, the cat was just unintresting. Not worth keeping. Her eyes linked with the cats copper ones. He or she flicked it's tail into the air and Dolly raised her eyebrows at the animal. And with that, she went to the cat and dug the blade into the flesh of the animal. It was a pleasant experience to feel the blade running through its skin, and the desperate yowls that the cat had were just inspiration to dip the blade deeper. After a few minutes of this cruel and heartless act, Dolly eyed the animal that was sitting there in such a manner that seemed to be intresting. She looked at the torn fur and laughed to herself. Heh. She crossed the living room, knife in hand and watched the animal not move.

Manage me, I'm a mess. If you turn a page, I'm a book, half unread. I wanna be laughed at, laughed with just because. There is no joy in my life. I wanna feel weightless and that should be enough. But I'm stuck in this fucking rut, waiting on a second hand pick me up and I'm over getting older. If I could just find the time, then I would never let another day go by. I'm over getting old

Maybe it's not my weekend but it's gonna be my year. And I'm so sick of watching while the minutes pass as I go nowhere. And this is my reaction to everything I fear because I've been going crazy and I don't want to waste another minute here. 

Make believe that I impress. That every word by design turns a head. I want to feel reckless, I wanna live it up just because.
I wanna feel weightless because that would be enough. 

So when I wake up in the middle of the night, Im not suprised. Ive been doing this a lot lately. There's way too much shit on my mind right now. I think the real thing is that Im nervous. Im just nervous at what she is planning for me. I dont even think her name anymore because I fear that she'll just knkw it and attempt attacking me. For the longest time, Ive been hanging around my parents. She doesnt dare do anything while they are around. For the first time, my parents are actually useful. 

Now there are noises coming from the living room. It sounds like.... a cat. Huh. We have a cat. I named him Buckethead. He's my sister's cat. Oh crap. She's probably torturing the cat. My hands cover my face at the realization and I groan. Hey, at least its the stupid cat instead of me. I could care less about that mangy animal. But what if my parents wake up from the howling? It would be funny watching her try to conjure up some explanation for that. Maybe this is worth getting out of bed for. 

As I flip over onto my side, I sit up with my feet danglin off of the edge of the bed. Grabbig my jean shorts off the floor, I pull them on and walk out of my room. When I near the front room, I peer around the corner. Oh this is rich, really rich. She killed it! This could be all that I've waited for. And this could be everything, I don't wanna dream anymore. The thing is just lying there on the ground with one of those big kitchen knives stuck in its middle. This is excellent! Finally, I expose myself in the living room. "Good show, Doll."

Dolly, idly thumbing the knife in her fingers, moved her eyes against the dead cat. The slight amount of blood that leaked onto the wood made Dolly smile at the warm puddle that she really wished she could streak her fingers against. She bet it was still warm, and she'd always wondered what cat tasted like... She looked at the cat, that honestly was probably dead for a good minute or two before she looked up to see Declain in the doorway. "Good show, Doll." The words seem to ooze out od Declains voice. You know, just the guy that honestly seemed to be so nonchalant about the fact that he inpregnanted his sister. No big deal at all. Dolly dug the knife's handle into her palm, apparently trying to keep some form of composure in this type of situation.

Dolly had tried to avoid contact with him for the last few days, or weeks, or whatever. She just sat there, her scarf tied around her head, holding the bloodied knife against her fingertips. Small paper-cut like pieces of skin now singed the ends of it, and as she looked at the plastic handle on it, she wondered for a second where these were made. Of course, district nine, but she had always wondered who had made the things she used. Probably some lowly district person. Dolly shrugged and tossed the knife towards the cat's corpse, and she finally remembered the cats name. Buckethead. The thing had been a favorite friend of Dolly, a pal, even. Especially when Dolly had been isolated from the world as a child. She nodded to herself, looking around and trying to find a focusing point.

Finally, she raised her gaze to Declain, who was wearing shorts. She had already considered this moment before, where she finally admitted she had to say it to their parents. You know, that awkward moment that probably would happen eventually. I mean, honestly. She ran her fingers over the scarf in her hair, trying to keep composure. Finally, she raised her head in the most regal way she could muster under the circumstances. The dead cat on the ground was only adding the effect of anything happening. She blinked her green eyes, finally sighing and looking at Declain. "You know, you arn't going to win this game just by using your so-called Declain charm. Hell, I bet you trademarked it. We will have to tell Mother and Father eventually. Because, honestly, if the kid were to bear an uncanny resemblence to good ol' Uncle Declain, we all know what would immediatley be assumed. So, if you honestly want to keep on sneaking around behind their backs like this, we can be screwed later. If we get it over with now, Mother might be all happy and Father will at least be leinent. Because, honestly, I don't know how much longer I can go around without looking like I am not in the condition I am in. Correct?"

With that, Dolly laid her hands on the sofa she sat on and fixed her gaze on the puddle of blood that was on the ground.

Good ole' Uncle Declain? What the hell? Who says "ole'" anymore? Jeez sis, you need a time period check. And anyway, she's got it all wrong. My sister can be so stupid most times. 

"Now, see, here's where you're wrong," I point a finger between the two of us, "We're twins. If it looks like you, it looks like me. If it looks like me, it looks like you. Are you following me?" My sister's eyes just rest on the now growing pool of blood forming around Buckethead. "And honestly, I don't think its much of a condition. Its called pregnancy, dumb ass." She could be so naive sometimes. 

After standing there a few moments, I realized that i had forgotten to put on a shirt. Time to show off the guns, then. Lol, no, that was not going to happen. She'd already seen enough of me as it was. I had another problem though. I heard noises coming from my parents' room. It sounded like... oh shit. It sounded like they were getting up. 

"Damn you and that stupid cat!" I hiss through clenched teeth. Trying to collect a calm composure, I straightened out my face from a look of pure disgust and hatred to a mellow one. One that my parents wouldn't be surprised to see. "What is going on out here?" A tired bass voice asks. So it was m father who had gotten up. Oh nothing, Dad. Dolly just killed the cat and we wanted to tell you that we had sex multiple times and that your daughter was pregnant. No biggie.

"Oh, nothing, Dad. Except, I'm pretty sure Dolly needed to tell you something." I smile slyly at my sister.

Oh, Father. Dolly recalled odd memories of her father, just little things that could be used for the insanity of it. Sure, she loved her father well enough, trying not to hate him, but honestly, she had always perferred the company of being alone or to the people that were her age, not socializing with a middle aged man with a bald spot. She would snicker for that bald spot, knowing that eventually Declain would probably evolve into someone with a bald spot, potbelly and etcetera. Aw, these quite pleasant thoughts rang through her head as she eyed the man standing in the doorway. Oh, god. Did she really have to explain this? To her father? And all the while, the blood from the cat was drying on the hardwood floors? Dolly literally facepalmed and tried to give her Father an overly cheerful smile that showed some form of "Yeah, we're all fine!" Expression, though it was kind of difficult to do so when she was being pressured to release the whole truth from her teeth.

She looked at the ceiling before hearing her brother mumble something about Dolly explaining the whole mess. You know, really, really positive. She ran her fingers through her hair, removing the headscarf from her head, sending her dark brown hair tumbling onto her shoulders. She tried to say something between clenched lips, something that sounded like "Man up Declain." But she honestly needed to have the guts to say this. Looking at the dead cat, she decided to try to explain the dear old death of Buckethead. Rolling her eyes, she plucked her fingers up from the fabric on the couch and looked at the knife that laid next to her. And with that, she looked at her Father with her green eyes.

"Now, Father. As you may know, Buckethead was a prized cat to our family." Dolly crossed her arms across her robe and looked at Father, who stood on one leg primarily. It was a family trait, Dolly could see, since one of her cousins did the same thing. Maybe it was with age. Oh, glee. Another thing to look forward for her Brother to do. Yay! Dolly smiled in smugness and looked back at her father. "Well, as we learned yesterday night, Buckethead had a terrible disease known as rabies that can infest a household so quickly. And even kill." Dolly nodded, her eyes glazing over. She was going to start faking tears any moment, faking sympathy for the poor animal that she had slaughtered without feeling like she wanted to.

Blinking, trying to add a dramatic effect, she looked at her father with large eyes. "And of course, we didn't want to concern Mother or you with the tragedy that is Bucketheads illness. Nor did we want you to hear the loud yowls of horridness that he would release when we did relieve the poor animal of it's misery." Dolly tried to look like she was restraining back tears, and some people, by the judge of her Father's pained expression, it was happening. She was actually pulling off a plausible situation. Mentally nudging herself on, she continued to fake the tears. "So, Declain and I planned to make sure that Buckethead was relieved of this horrible disease, so you and Mother wouldn't be hurt by this animal. And the disease is uncurable unless you live in the capitol, so he was going to die anyway." Dolly leaned against the wall, a frown put onto her oddly shaped lips.

"So, when you and Mother were asleep, I woke up Declain and told him it was time, since I heard Buckethead pawing around at my door, clearly trying to infect me with this horrible disease. I was truly scared out of my wits." Dolly looked at Declain, as if to mock him with the 'of course I woke you up to kill the cat' look. Continuing on with the insanity, she smiled and raised her head once again. "We went into the kitchen and saw Buckethead laying on the floor, doing nothing but being a poor, poor animal. I grabbed the kitchen knife from the counter and handed it to Declain, who knew instantly what needed to be done. I sobbed the whole time. Of course, when the flesh caught on the seraded knife, I was devestated. Buckethead was my best friend as a child, and watching and hearing the enraged yowls was just... devestating. But, Buckethead is now in the sky with catnip, forever in our hearts." Thats when Dolly brought on the real tears, sobbing ones, with large and dramatic sobs. "I---Miss him already!"

And with an unrealistic recovery from the sobs, she smiled and looked at Declain "Now, what were you going to tell Father?"

Now Im just plain confused. I knew she was probably going to make something up to tell Dad, but I never would have imagined she was going to make up some random crap about the dumb cat. Apparently she never realized why I called it Buckethead. I hated that stupid animal. 

For the beginning of her speech, I just yawned through it. Then I heard my name, which made my ears perk up. She said she woke me up... Well, she did, but indirectly. "I grabbed the kitchen knife from the counter and handed it to Declain, who knew instantly what needed to be done. I sobbed the whole time." Whoa whoa whoa, hold the phone. I didn kill it! I mean, I would if I wouldve gotten the chance, but seriously?! And she didnt shed a freaking tear. I bet she was laughing. I am not being blamed for the stupid cat's death, evein if its just a stupid cat. After she finishes her sermon, all I do is snort.

"Am I the only one who noticed thatshe's the one with blood on her hands, not me? And even though she killed her cat, all I can say is that Buckethead will be dearly missed." I slowly tread over to my sister, with her head wrapped up in that freakish mummy scarf. "But Dolly's resilient. She'll get over it." I poke her stomach harshly, but not hard enough so that she'd flinch or anything. I walk around behind her, and put my hands on her shoulders. "And isnt she a vision of beauty, even at 3:30 AM? Why, I'd say that she was practically glowing." Dad probably won't pick up on my subtle hint, but I know Dolly will. She knows what Im talking about. 

My head rests on her shoulder now, as I smile, exposing part of my front teeth. "Your turn," I whisper in her ear.

And suddenly, hands were thrown onto her shoulders. She shuddered at looked at her brother, who was talking about glowing at three thirty. You know, way to drop the bomb. Fabulous way to. Dolly's gaze fixated on her brothers face, finally just trying to get something straight here "Well, Father, Declain, in his devestation, wouldn't want to touch the poor dead animal. So, when we moved it to the ground from the kitchen counter, he forced me to. It was just.... Just so tragic. And he forced me to do it." Fake sobs escaped her throught until she finally shot her brother a final gaze and set upon actually exposing the real truth. She sent him a 'step-in-after-this-is-done-or-you'll-be-killed-in-your-sleep look and finally adverted her gaze to the flooring.

"Father, please understand this horrid mess that we are stuck in. And me and Declain have dug ourselves into a hole that we cannot exactly dig ourselves oout of. Well, at least for a while. Let's just say its illegal, ethically and law-wise." Dolly looked at her feet, which she had filed earlier that morning. She had run the blade over each toenail, thinking carefully about when she would have to run tell. With a quick smirk towards her brother, she charged on, trying to make this sound as one sided and rapelike as she could. Because, you know, it just could happen. And they did believe that Dolly was an innocent little girl, so why would they think that the incest was concented? Pfft, concented her ass.

Dotting her eyes with the fingernails she posessed, she looked at her father "Well, one evening, when you two were gone, Declain decided to.... well, lets put it this way, Father. I am pregnant with the child that is not technically legal, and it just so happens that my twin is the father of this person. It's not a tragedy, no, but it is a setback upon the world that surronds us. Now, all I need to think about this is a simple way to explain this. You, Father, need to inform Mother on this dire situation. And thus, please do not get angry over this so called... rape of sorts. Let's make a name for it: Inrape. Sound good, Father?"

Dolly smugly looked at her brother, who she assumed, was trying to piece together some witty comback that could contradict this sad and pathetic prediciment. And she was sure it was quite possible for him to fail. Because, honestly, wording could be on her side for this one. Smiling at her brother, she gave him a squint and mouthed 'times up, loser.'

I have a feeling that if I dont end this now, she's going to kill me in my sleep. When I hear the words "illegal" and "ethically," I start to chuckle. There was nothing ethical about incest, but it sure is a hell of a lot of fun. She is right about one thing.  There is no way we can dig ourselves out of this hole we've dug. Then I hear the word rape. My head is still resting on her shoulder, but my teeth are clenched to the point they feel like shattering. My sister smugly looks at me and then I explode. 

"Rape?! Rape?! Are you freaking kidding me?!" By now Ive walked off from my sister with my arms crossed over my bare chest. My arm wildly points at her accusingly. "She made me do it! Being Dolly, of course she's not telling the story right. She took me to her room! She kissed me! She had sex with me! I am the victim here! Not her!" Tears have started streaming down my face. God, Im a good actor. If only I could move to the Capitol and market my wonderful skills. 

Plopping down on the soiled couch, I put my head in my hands. "I feel so violated." I choke out through the streams of water. I start sniffling too, for added effect. "I never knew she'd get pregnant. Its her own fault, anyway." Finally, I realize that my uncovered feet are resting in Buckethead's blood. Well perfect. That just adds on to my never ending stride of pain and misery."Um... honey?" I hear my dad call. Can you come out here?"

Dolly watched in astonishment as her brother broke into hysterics. He usually didn't get this emotional.... But, still. Dolly looked at him with a sense of irony and rolled her eyes. Dipping her eyes to the ground, she heard her father yell for Mother. Oh, Mother. Dolly wanted to throw her head into her hands when she came stumbling down the stairs wearing a bright green bath robe with oldfashioned hair curlers in her hair, her eyes focused on her daughter and son, who were standing by a dead cat in the middle of the living room. You know, the blood leaking over bare feet, their father in the doorway mumbling something about pregnancy and incest and rape, Declains voice still echoing on the wooden siding of the house.

Dolly wasn't quite happy with the involvement of the hysterical Mother her and Declain had, but she could be rational if they took this slow and explained everything one. step. at. a time. Dolly smiled at her Mother, who was obviously in shock about the dead cat on the ground. She mumbled something that sounded like "why is Buckethead sleeping?" Yes, the dead cat at the bottom of the floor, in a pool of blood, was indeed sleeping, Mother. of course

Yet, this was still her Mother she had to deal with so she pressed her hands against her temples and finally looked her Mother straight in the eyes. "Buckethead's dead. The cat is dead, Mother. Because obviously the pool of blood was something you could disregard enough to think he was sleeping. Yes. I took a knife to him, and he's dead. Look at the ground, it's drenched in blood. I understand you may be a bit confused since it is approaching four in the morning, but, anybody with enough common sense would know that the cat is dead. No matter how little sleep you got. Buckethead is not sleeping."

She could hear a shocked gasp come from her Mother, who began to hypervenilate about how the cat was dead on the floor. Dolly's thoughts wandered as her Mother complained about the cat that was now laying in a puddle of blood, staining the wood floors. Well, until Dolly finally gave a flustered smack to her Mother's cheek and said "I. Am. Pregnant. With. Declains. Baby."

A blink from Mother. And it was followed by applause and jumping up and down. "I'M GOING TO HAVE GRANNDDDCHILDREN! :DDD"

IMy mother scares me sometimes. Well, a lot of times. Like tonight/this morning, how she thought Buckethead was sleeping. What ingnoramus would think a cat laying in a pool of blood with a knife next to it was sleeping? My mother of course. So when Dolly starts off on her sarcastic schpiel, I cant really blame her. If she hadnt, I wouldve.  A shocked gasp emitted from her mouth, and she started hyperventilatin g about the dead cat. You really cant take a woman in a bright green robe and hair curlers seriously. Then Dolly suprises even me. 

She just walks up to our mother and slaps her. Just slaps her. My sister has her moments. Then she just... says it. "I. Am. Pregnant. With. Declain's. Baby." Its sounds weird in my own ears. Its like... It's all real now. Part of me wants it to be real, but the other part wants it to be o-v-e-r. Maybe she can just die while having the kid(s) and make my life so much easier. 

My mother was jumping up and down like a maniac, shouting "I'M GOING TO HAVE GRANNDDDCHILDREN!" Gosh dang it, she's going to wake up the whole neighborhood. "Mother! Shut up!" I hiss. This was too much for one night.  Both of my parents flinch. Mother stops jumping up and down and clapping. Huh. After all this crap thats been going on tonight, that quiets them down. My dad has been looking frazzled ever since Dolly confessed to him. Im just tired. 

"I think... I think I'll go back to bed." I stand up in Buckethead's blood, and wipe my feet on the carpet, leaving Size 10 foot marks on the hardwoods. Brushing past my father, I catch a glare from the smaller man. He looks ashamed of me. Oh well. Hey, if he already hates me, may as well push it to the limit. "Dolly, arent you coming with me? They already know the truth."

Dolly watched as her brother seem to exit the room, kind of insisting of being followed. Dolly crossed her arms, shooting death-glare lasers towards the exiting boy. She shook her head, watching the ceiling aimlessly, attempting to find some form of stability in the room. Most likely, it would of just been insanity, or to randomly yell or something. But when Dolly finally just watched the ceiling to no endless amend, she usually would of been in bed, doing nothing but playing with the blankets she had around here. Now, it was quite uncomfortable, even though she had only been looking at if ro a few seconds. Nodding to herself, she tried to find a happier subject to go onto. She could think and try to craft a scheme that led to.... the plastic flamingos perched outside, in the backyard.

Yes, plastic flamingos. Dolly tried to think of why her Mother had nailed them outside, but she remembered her Mother throwing spare bread crumbs to them. Shuddering at the fact of the plastic things actually digesting the breadcrumbs, Dolly watched her Brother, before muttering something inside of her teeth, trying to keep some form of composure. Sure, it may not of been a very easy thing to do, with a dead cat on the ground and a hysterical Mother who was happy about incestual relationships and pregnancy. Or, their father, who was dumbfounded for a little while. Dolly knew he had always been the quiet person, sending the two kids to take charge of him and their hysterical Mother. Trying to scramble for words, she looked at the back of her brother's head, then closing her eyes.

"Why don't you just drop dead?" She said, motionless.

My mother is crazy. Literally, she's insane. She could be clinically insane, but nobody will admit it. I just couldnt get it. What mother would be excited about her two children having sex? I just couldnt get it. Worse off, she was excited about grandchildren of all things. Grandkids! Why cant she just have another couple kids and be done with it so we're not expected to live up to her expectations. I just dont understand my mother. 

When Dolly asks why I won't drop dead, Im not suprised. We've both been real bitches this morning. Well, her more than me. "Well, dear sis, because you'd miss me too much. And who would provide for your, ahem, our child? You never get off your lazy ass and do anything." See, my parets know now. I really do not care at this point if they hear me call her a bitch or dumb ass or whatever other names Ive called her in the past. I could care less what my parents think. "Just come here," I demand. Walking back over to Dolly, I grab her arm and plow between my hysterical mother and sullen father. With a little wave, I push Dolly into my room at the end of the hall and close the door.

My hands start sweating as I think about what Im about to do. Ive wanted to do this for a long time now, and I think Im ready. I dont think she'll hurt me. I dont think. I could add on another for all that shit that just went on back there, but Im feeling generous." I step closer to her until my nose is almost touching hers and Im looking directly down at her. Dolly was led into the room, her eyes glazing over. God, what a demanding little bitch of a brother. She rolled her eyes, watching him with an unusual caution. She usually wasn't cautious, more so diving straight into something without thinking. Most likely, the freaking prediciment she was currently in. She closed her eyes and looked at Declain straight in the eye, trying to say something before he gave her a straight whap in the cheek. And it stung. Badly, in fact. She'd probably have a welt in the morning from it. Her eyes got larger with this, and her pulse raced. God, what did he just do to her? She breathed in once and then lunged upwards, standing up.

"Did you just bitch-slap me?" her voice demanded, rolling over the different syllables in the normal, snappy, Dolly voice. Ah, normality of behavior. The normal basis of the words made Dolly smirk smugly before continuing on the horrid, and rough syllables she should of been mumbling. Her lips parted as the words hissed out of her mouth, and she nearly bit her tounge when she reached the word bitch. Finally, she lowered her gaze and watched her brother with little intrest, more with suprise. Like a cat who had just been dropped in a tub of water, a docile one at that. Not the mean cats that clawed at you at whatever point in the day, no, nothing like that. More like the cat you've had for five years and hasn't hurt a fly. Annoyed, yes, but more transfixed than angered.

Her lack of perculiar intrest surpised her for a moment, but then she finally just blinked and replied to her own comment. "Of course you did. Because if it wasn't a bitch slap, you'd probably be dead by now." Dolly blinked and ran her fingers through her hair. "Or, the fact that it wouldn't be nice to kill someone. Perhaps." Dolly then actually released the gasping sound in her throught and sighed. And thats when, for the first time in her life, without any regret, she threw her hands to her face and had tears falling from the eyes. Without any regret, it was. And she just yelled, her eyes blazing with water "YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M SORRY. I'M TRULY SORRY DECLAIN. TRUELY. spare us all, I don't care anymore. I sell yourself to make it, I can dish it, but can I really take it? I'm never gonna get it with nothing

My dark brown eyes light up at my sister's emotional breakdown. At first I wonder what the heck she's talking about, but then I realize wha she's saying. Dolly Anne Redici will no longer torcher me, Declain EFFIN' Redici. "Whoo!!" I scream in exuberance. "FINALLY!" She apologized, too! Oh my god, I just feel like rolling around on the floor and having a party. 

"Yes, Dolly! I bitch slapped you! And you know what? I quite liked it!" Then I slap her again, not as hard as the first time, just for the hell of it. Then I start in some dancing - slash - jumping routine in the middle of the room complete with fist pumps of victory. I am the champion, my friends! And I kept on fighting untill the end! I am the champion! I am the champion! "Hey! Hey Dolly! Guess what? I think I'll name it! Haha! And you know what else?! I dont think I'll go to work! You will! And you know what else?! IM F*CKING FREE!" Im so excited! And I just can't hide it!

Dolly watched her Brother as he laid another palm on her cheek. Her eyes shot up to him, her pupils expanding. Was he mad? With power? Or greed? Or whatever the hell her brother was feeling, Dolly just wanted to snap. Like a rubber band that's tension had been pulled a bit too far. The rubber could only stretch so far, and with that last little bit from her brother, she was done. Dolly Redici had had some close calls with her insanity kicking in, but she had always restrained herself from finally snapping. Always resorting to her old ways when she needed to. Always snapping back from the stretched rubber, no matter how cracked and singed it became. But, just in that room, with that smack, followed by the second, Dolly was.... Dolly was done.

She wanted to go curl up in a hole and die. She wanted to go somewhere dark and warm and just die. Well, not in that sense, but she wanted to go away. She wanted to go to her corner, and sit there for a long time in isolation. She wanted to huddle in a corner, in a hole, in something for a very long time. She didn't want to talk things out with her brother, she honestly didn't want to adknowlege the fact that her brother was even there. She wanted to go die. And she wanted her brother to follow her right behind her in the corpse parade.

But as she sat there, dumbly against the bedframe, Dolly just looked up at her brother, who was preforming something of a victory dance, screaming misshappen words that Dolly could only decipher from the tears streaming down her face. Because in honesty, Dolly couldn't understand half of what he was saying. Something about naming something and another bit about him being free. Dolly blinked behind tears and gave Declain a little bit of a nod.

"Wha-What are you saying Declain...?" She said carefully, bringing her hands to the dirty floor. Her fingers pinched the ground carefully as she looked at her brother, trying to find some form of composure in the world. The white shirt she wore sleeve grazed the carpet, and as she looked back up, she wanted to say something, but the syllables came out as garbled and not needed, twisted into something unintelligble and a little bit stupid sounding. Finally, she gave up, looking at the slippers on her feet, her hair falling behind her. She looked up at him once more, finally finding a word to describe her emotions.

"Whatever you say." And slipped between teeth came something along the lines of bitch. No big deal.
