I run frantically into the plum orchard, in my green shirt brown coat and black skirt, apron flapping in the breeze, yelling "Has anyone seen my Son?" I look frantically around hoping to catch someone's eye, but nobody seems to notice, I can't seem to find Geena anywhere, because if I had I wouldn't be asking them, and Galen is too busy too help. "Please he's only 13 he had brown hair blue eyes, about 5'5" usually comes, to pick plums in the afternoon, but I just heard from his teacher that he's not in class, and I can't find him anywhere." At this point I collapse to the ground in tears.

(OCC yes I know I did this post previously but it has been inncative for quite some time)

The man begins to cry. I look around nervously. Will I get in trouble for consoling him? Will anyone else risk it? I slowly pick my apple, and place it in my basket. With a deep breath, and his sobs ringing in my ears, I approach cautiously. I hesitate as I begin to reach out to him. Then I force it down. "What's his name?" I might have seen someone like that, but I am not sure. And when I'm not sure, I don't act.

People are so kind, I just hope she can help me. I sniffle and pull myself together. " His... His name is Daniel, I've looked everywhere for him, he's only 13 but he's mad at us, he's friends with these 15 year-olds, there real bad news, and I forbade him from hanging out with them. Please help me. I don't want him to turn up dead."

Daniel, daniel, daniel....I rack my brains for information on this boy. I think of all the people I've seen today.

A soft mew and a furry body presses up against my leg and I look down into the adoring eyes of my cat Savy. I gently pick her up and stroke her white furr absently. Daniel. Her gentle purr comforts me, relaxing my mind. This is when I remember. My eyes grow wide, and I nod. I saw him.

"I saw him. He was with these two older kids, and they were hanging out behind the school." I leave out the fact that they were surrounded by a cloud of unnatural smoke. I don't want to be the one to tell this mother that.

No! No! No! I bet he's getting in trouble, what did I do wrong? "Take me to him please, I'll need a witness if I catch him doing what I think he's doing, if not he'll be dead." I just hope I get there before he gets into anything dangerous. What happened to the sweet little boy I could hold in my arms?

Oh dear. I hug Savy closer. I don't want to get into this. But I can't say no. I can't deny her this. Besides, she sounds a little scared. I often wish someone were there for me when I'm scared. She also sounds a little angry. This scares me. I follow her anyway. "What are you going to do when you get there?" I tentatively ask.
