It had been a while since Ruby had asked Davina to go on a mission. Davina had been waiting oh so patiently and been a very good girl. Finally, she had been rewarded. This morning she had reacieved a message from the head of the Assassin's Guild. Davina had a mission tonight, and it was by herself. She had been asked to kill a young man, but had not been given the reason. Not that it matter, Davina didn't care who it was. She had just been bored.

Her dress was flowing by her knees. It was dark blue and had a pocket up top. Davina had stored one of her folded knives up there. Her black leggings had two of her needles inbedded in them incase she got in a jam. And her black boots contained her red dagger. Not that she would need any of it, but she always felt prepared carrying them around anyways. On her side, she fingered her black bag that was tied arouns her waist (sort of like a fanny pack ).

Davina was a woman that was angered easier, but she liked to toy with others. She had skill and she had poise, but she didn't have a good ability to always keep her guard up. That proved true when she felt a tug from her wasit and lost her balance. "What the-" Davina hit the ground and jumped to her knees immediately. She went for her bag of weapons that was no longer attached to her. Squinting in the dark, she could see it was now in the hands of the figure running around from her.

"Stupid kid." she whispered and jumping to her feet, running after the figure. Davina herself was still only a child. Eighteen years old, still elgible for the reaping, but she liked to think of herself as much more mature. She followed the firgure, not bothering to lighten her heavy footsteps and try to sneak. After running a while, the figure finally stopped and Davina saw it was a girl. Why'd she stop running? Already pissed off, Davina only became more angery. Not only had this girl stolen her pack but now she had stopped running.

Was the girl looking for a confrontation? Did she think she was better than Davina? Who was she? "Hey, little girl." Davina yelled without really knowing the girl's age. She stepped forward, closing the distance between them. "Why don't you give that back to me, little bitch?" Davina said the last word slowing, hoping to scare the girl off.

There was a damn good reason why most of the people in District Eight despised Ravena Kavieria, and the situation she was currently in made it obvious. Lying. Stealing. Manipulating. It was all her game. Not that she had a whole lot of a choice anymore. Her parents didn't give a damn what she did, they had never cared much about her. She took care of her siblings, took care of the house, and what did they do? They ignored her, never thanked her for anything that she did to help them out while they worked. Which was probably why she had started causing so much trouble. Just like any child she craved her parents' attention, but anything she ever did to get their attention always made them more angry. Which was probably why they kicked her out on the streets and she was now stealing to take care of herself. Now everyone hated her, it was no secret anymore.

Take this situation, for example. She hadn't been quite sure what was in the girl's backpack, but she took it anyway. Not exactly very subtly, but whatever, she didn't care. She had taken off as fast as she could with her long legs, and hoped to get away. But what wasn't the case this time around, she hadn't been very swift about it. She wasn't able to hear what it was the girl mumbled when she took off, but Ravena could hear the girl's footsteps coming after her. She didn't quite enjoy trouble or the prospect of being hurt again, but she smiled anyways. Messing with people was always fun, this girl would be no exception.

When the girl got closer, Ravena was able to see her more clearly. She looked as if she was trying to appear intimidating, but Ravena was anything but scared. She was leaning up against the wall of one of District Eight's many buildings, resting easily in the shadows as she clutched the girl's stolen backpack in her hand. She wasn't quite sure what was inside of it, but she would worry about that later. She had other things to worry about right then. The look on the other girl's face was downright murderous, and it made Ravena crack a small smile.

"Hey, little girl." The other girl's voice wasn't calm, but just as angry as she looked. Ravena was not surprised. Standing up straight, Ravena stood at her full height and if it hadn't already been clear, it would be obvious that she was not a little girl. She kept a sly smile as the other girl spoke again, not daunted whatsoever. There were worse people on earth. "Why don't you give that back to me, little bitch?" The girl asked her. Ravena only smiled wider to herself as she looked down at the backpack in her hands.

"Oooh. Someone thinks they're big and bad. I'm so scared, see me trembling, little bitch? Plus you didn't say please." Her voice was tainted with huge amusement, and she didn't even hide it. Instead, she waved the backpack back and forth in front of herself, taunting the girl with a smirk.

This was going to be fun.

Davina knew the girl was toying with her. Who the hell does she think she is? She could see now that the girl wasn't a kid, but Davina didn't care they could be an even match. "Oooh. Someone thinks they're big and bad. I'm so scared, see me trembling, little bitch? Plus you didn't say please." the girl smiled and taunted Davina with her own backpack. Please? This girl is going to get it.

"You expect me to say please?" Davina took a deep breah and camed herself down. The girl was right in front of her afterall. If she wanted to play, Davina would play. "I do believe it was you who took my bag. If you want me to say please for you to give back my things, you're seriously mistaken." Does this girl want a fight? What motive did she have for taking my bag? Either way, I can't take too much time. Davina had a mission to complete afterall.

"I don't see what use you have of the bag anyways. It's pointless to you." Davina ran through the contents in her mind. The jar of poison. The 50 needles. The knife. And the gloves. Davina's specailty was poison. She was amazingly accurate with throwing weapons if the target was not just as good at avoiding them. And needles were her favourite. Small enough to hide, sharp enough, hard to removed, and almost impossible to see and easy to throw. The contents would be useless to the girl in front of her.

Could always kill her myself. But Davina knew she wouldn't do so. She hated wasting her weapons on stupid people. If this girl did indeed want to fight, davina would meet her head on. "You'll make no use of the contents." Davina laughed. "And I don't have time for games. There is seducing that needs to be done tonight and I don't believe you're the one I'm supose to seduce. So, if you wouldn't mind giving it back to me, I'd appreciate it."

Davina held out her hand, glaring at the girl. She was going to be late. She was going to miss him. The look the girl was returning made Davina feel like this girl really did want to play a game. She seemed to have the same determination and stubbornness as Davina. Suddenly, she could see that the game of cat and mouse was about to begin. But somehow, this girl was making it almost seem like Davina was the mouse. And she didn't like that. She didn't like that at all. Bring it on, bitch.

Anger was something that Ravena Kavieria was extremely used to. She had always been angry at her parents, angry at people she saw on the streets who glared at her just because she wasn't normal and she didn't have a home. And then maybe she didn't have very good hygiene (at all), but was that a good reason to hate her? Then there was the anger of everyone else around her. Goodness knows she had pissed enough people off in her lifetime, and she knew it all too well. She was no stranger to anger, so this girl's obvious rage and hatred barely bothered her at all. Hearing such hateful words had become normal, it was a daily part of life. Hey, she had to survive. She had to be hated if she wanted to live, because there was no other way to do that but steal. Or work. But working would involve the chance of seeing her parents or her siblings, and she didn't want that. She was no longer a part of that life. That was not her. So what did that leave her? Nothing but hatred and anger and crime. Though it had it's amusing times- like messing with this girl's mind.

"You expect me to say please?" The girl said to her, and Ravena took some more amusement when she saw the girl take a deep breath. The girl was having trouble keeping herself controlled. Ravena always found it fun to study peoples' reactions to everything. She could play every angle in whatever situation she wanted- she could be the shy, embarrassed girl, the violent bully, the loud, obnoxious one, whatever act it was that she needed to achieve her goal. Usually the goal was food, and that was why she most often played the role of the weak, sniveling, helpless hobo. People fell for it every time.. if they didn't know her. Right then however, there was not much of an act. The real Ravena was the one right there, the independent, defiant, angry, sly, manipulative, slightly insensitive Ravena.

Ravena was going to interrupt with a sarcastic comment to the girl's rhetorical question but just as she was opening her mouth to speak, the angry girl continued with what must have seemed like an intimidating speech. "I do believe it was you who took my bag. If you want me to say please for you to give back my things, you're seriously mistaken."

Not in my world.

In her world it didn't matter what it was that she was stealing or who she was stealing from. It didn't matter that maybe they had needed whatever she had stolen. In her world, once she's taken something, it's rightfully hers because she needs to survive too, and no matter what it is that she's stolen it can be of some use to her. That's how it had been for several years, and that wasn't about to change just because some prissy girl wanted her backpack back. Tough luck.

"I don't see what use you have of the bag anyways. It's pointless to you. You'll make no use of the contents." The girl said, trying to convince her? It was a weak argument, Ravena could use anything that she stole. It didn't matter what it was, she could find some use for it. It was her rule, if it even qualified as a rule, and it was one of her only rules. Screw the actual law.

"And I don't have time for games. There is seducing that needs to be done tonight and I don't believe you're the one I'm supposed to seduce. So, if you wouldn't mind giving it back to me, I'd appreciate it." The girl said, glaring at Ravena as if it would daunt her. At her words, Ravena let out an excited laugh, her eyes full of mischief. This girl also had a sense of humor, because she sure was funny.

"Oh? Big bad girl has a schedule to follow? I thought you'd be the type to have already learned that lesson. Never make plans for anything. Someone will always come along fuck up your schedule. And you'd appreciate your backpack back? Well, I'd appreciate a million bucks to get me out of these rags but you don't see the president walking up and giving the money to me, do you? Tisk tisk, you haven't learned much." Ravena sneered, her eyes glaring right back at her newly found friend who amused her so greatly.

"Oh? Big bad girl has a schedule to follow? I thought you'd be the type to have already learned that lesson. Never make plans for anything. Someone will always come along f*ck up your schedule. And you'd appreciate your backpack back? Well, I'd appreciate a million bucks to get me out of these rags but you don't see the president walking up and giving the money to me, do you? Tisk tisk, you haven't learned much." The girl was toying with her. But, why? Did she have nothing better to do? Did she know something about Davina and dislike her? For a second Davina was scared this girl might have been Christian's ex, but she shook it off.

"I do have a schedule to follow." And in fact, Ruby was going to kill her herself if Davina didn't follow it exactly. If this man was allowed to live another night who knew what would happen. ooc: sorry got an idea mid-post. Do you want them to somehow battle it out here? Or do you want Ravena to like follow Davina to her mission and (depending on Ravena's personality) battle it out over killing the guy? (I'm weird) Davina certainly didn't and she didn't want to know. "You know, places to go, people to kill."

Davina was done playing with this girl. The girl was only being to annoy her now. She needed her pack back so she could complete her mission and she needed it back now. "Do you want money or something, prick?" Really, what the hell is her problem? Here she was cursing at Davina like she was the shit. Davina wondered what happened to her that made her like this. But then, she pushed it from her mind. She didn't actually care.

"Hand over the bag, bitch." Davina spit. She wasn't going to take much longer of this. She reached in her dress pocket, and open the knife. Then inconspiciously, she manuvered one of the needles from her leggings. She had to use it sparingly, and with no posion, her weapons wouldn't do much more than a little damage, but maybe she wouldn't even have to use them. Maybe they would just scare the girl. Maybe not. But Davina was intent on turning the game of cat and mouse around. "Also, you might want to start showering. You bet your ass you won't make friends looking like that."

The irritation showing clearly on the other girl's face amused Ravena to no end. It was always interesting how easily people could be upset. Ravena didn't have much else to do, so this was, of course, her favorite pastime. It was better then sitting around and doing nothing, that was for sure. She had never been good in school, but if nothing else she had her street smarts. She knew people- the way they acted, the way the talked, the way they responded. Even when she wasn't homeless and she had other things to do, she always took amusement in observing people. It was this skill that solely allowed her to survive nowadays, along with giving her something to do.

"I do have a schedule to follow." The girl said to her, and Ravena smirked. She, of course, had nothing better to do, though she was bored. This girl's actions were becoming predictable, and Ravena wanted nothing more then to make a run for it with her bag containing whatever. She was just about to do so when the dark-haired girl spoke again, for once catching Ravena off guard.

"You know, places to go, people to kill." Most often when people talked tough, it was only talk. It seemed that this girl, however, was actually dangerous. Depending on if she was lying or not, that is. Ravena had pegged her as the kind of person to talk tough and then act wimpy, but maybe that wasn't the case. She raised both her eyebrows from surprise, a curious glint in her eyes then. She had to know more about this, but she didn't say anything just yet- the other girl was still running her mouth.

"Do you want money or something, prick?" Ravena's smile widened even more, because actually, money would be useful to her. There was an innumerable amount of things she could buy to help herself. New clothes, new shoes, warm food, a blanket to keep herself warm if she needed it, and anything else that someone could possibly think of. She was about to say something about that but the girl in front of her kept talking, and Ravena silently wondered if she was unable to shut up.

"Hand over the bag, bitch." The girl said with just as much anger as she had before. Ravena watched closely as the girl pulled out what appeared to be a knife. Maybe she might try and hurt Ravena, maybe she was just trying to scare her. Either way, Ravena wasn't afraid. She wasn't quite sure what her opinion of death was. She had little to live for, so why should she be afraid? And even if she didn't die, her wounds would only become scars. Scars had become far too familiar to her- they were just there all over her body; she didn't mind much anymore. She had nothing to fear, and so she was not afraid. She didn't move or acknowledge that the other girl did indeed have a weapon, but rather she stood there a bit longer and waited as the other girl kept talking.

"Also, you might want to start showering. You bet your ass you won't make friends looking like that."

Pain was a silly thing. Physically she could handle pain- or rather, she didn't care about it- but emotional pain was a different story. She was as weak as the rest when it came to her mind at times, and this was one of those times. She had always been criticized by everyone, and normally she wouldn't let it go without violence. In an instant anger sparked in her mind, which almost caused her to fling herself forward and attack as she was used to, but she stopped herself. She had to remain in control, and fighting because of a silly remark would not help that. Instead, she sat there for another moment, waiting for another remark from the girl that didn't come. Finally, it was her own time to speak.

"People to kill? Now, that doesn't sound pleasant. Didn't your mother ever tell you that murder is wrong? But then again.." She paused. "I can't judge your actions when I don't know your reasoning.. Though I'm guessing you have a pretty good reason for it, right? Oh, and yes, money would be nice, you know. Seeing as I'm a worthless homeless piece of shit and all."

She paused for another moment as her lips curved up into a small smile that had recently faded away because of her slight moment of anger. When she spoke, her voice was almost a whisper. "You know, I would and all, but I don't really need friends and I sure as hell don't have a shower." She shrugged. "So, I guess I'm outta luck."

OOC: I vote that my character tries to "help" with the murder, though when they get there she'll instead protect the person 'cause she's not quite down to the level of murder. Not yet, at least.
