Age: 15
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 1
Appearance:
Trista is slightly tall for her age at the height of 5ft 6 inches. She has a regular frame weighing in at 126 pounds. She is slightly muscular from helping her brother at work on regular occasions. Her skin has a slight paleness to it unlike that of her brother. Her skin is smooth except some small scars from day to day activities.Personality:
Trista has brown eyes that reminded many of her brother when she was younger. Her face has a mature look for her age which she pulls off well. She has dark brown eyebrows and pale pink lips. Trista has fairly curly dark brown hair that reaches between her shoulders and hips.
Although she has little choice in her wardrobe, Trista is a fan of darker colours. Mostly she will wear either a dark blue or black shirt with a pleated black skirt that comes to just above her knees. She wears no socks with a pair of black shoes that cover the face half of one of the toes on her left foot is missing. On special days like reapings she has a special dark brown dress that matches her eyes. She will have her hair in a half up-half down style and she will wear a necklace that she found one day when she dared to go right up to the fence in her district.
Trista is a friendly person who likes to socialise with the others around district 11. Many of the people who have met her are friendly with her which she is happy about. Human nature inspires her and she enjoys biology at school as it teaches her how the body responds to change and she wants to take psychology which can teach her how the mind reacts to the different situations in life. This was first inspired in her by the behaviour of her brotherHistory:
when threatened.
Trista is a sensitive person who likes to try and decipher people's emotions so she can help them in life. However this often leads to her becoming over sensitive towards people which can leave her emotionally weak. The teenager has a soft spot for children after observing younger students in her school and will always help them when she sees it is needed. However stronger people could use this as a weakness.
When she first understood the Hunger Games when she was watching on TV she couldn't help but feel sad for the young souls stuck in that arena, all of them knowing only one of 24 of them will live at the end. This has given her a hate for the Capitol and she can get emotional at reapings. Trista knows if she is ever taken into the arena, even though she has quite a precise eye with a bow, she would have to kill and that troubles her deeply. She can sometimes show a rebel side going to the limits of the fence surrounding her district and dreaming about how to get through or over the fence without injury.
Trista Harper was born on May 15th in district 11, two years after her brother Orson. She weighed in at 7 pounds 9 ounces. Her single mother vowed to bring her up just as well as her brother had been so far. There was no reason for her to leave her house when she was growing into toddler and she would play with Orson around the house. When she was 3 Orson started to stop playing with her and she always wondered why her brother would just stay in his room. This slowly got worse through the next years and soon she was a slightly lonely 5 year old girl ready for the school the Capitol required her to attend.Codeword: oDair
When she first started school she got many glares when people found out and recognised her surname. However for unknown reasons they didn't judge and treat her like they did her brother, they left her alone and some tried to befriend her. They were left in the dark as she refused to be friends with anyone who hurt her brother in any way. Nevertheless she started to make friends of her own age and started a happy school life.
As she got older and started her second school she became more interested in her brother's behaviour and his reactions to the bullying he endured. This is the spark that gave her an interest in psychology and the human mind. She wanted to know why he acted so violent sometimes so she could find a way to stop it. The girl also started understanding the Hunger Games she was forced to watch each year which worried her because she knew sooner or later her name would start being entered for the reaping.
When she turned 10 her brother reached his first reaping and took out terassee for the family. Although she was glad for the extra food she tried to stop her brother because she didn't want him to be put in the arena as she knew he had a high chance of getting killed in there and she would never see him again. It hurt her to know that even if she knew her brother was strong and capable of winning a fight when he has had the need. Luckily for her his name wasn't picked out.
Her nerves suffered even more when she reached 12 herself. At her first reaping she had to fight not to cry when the hand reached inside the ball and she though the whole district would hear the sigh of relief she gave when her name wasn't read out. This happened every year and the odds were always in her favour as she returned home later in the days. Now she is 15 and her attention still draws to the names though she tries not to think about it.
