Rate the dps!!!

Ok so I was thinking man I want to know what people think about the dps I have created. (Part of me closes my eyes at certain people's opinions) Anyways this is how it works you post the dp links that you want rated 1-10 10 being the best and or commented on. Then I will add your link and name to the select lists whether you wanted it rated commented or both. Any one can rate/ comment but if you post a dp link you must rate one dp/comment yourself(I will repay the favor for all) so here it is whoosh!!! (Btw any dp of any games I believe is allowed)

Commentary: I really have to say that it almost made me cry. It was so amazingly written as well. Kitty, rock on.

Kitty, while I understand the enjoyment of attaining constructive criticism and appreciation on your work, I feel as though this idea may be more harmful than helpful. In "rating" everyone's death posts you end up rating their writing and their characters. When doing this you end up comparing styles and characters that are very different from one another. In that way it can be an insult or discouragement to someone if their work is rated lower than someone else's. As well, ratings are too heavily based on the experience of the rater and not on that of the writer. Comments may be alright, but only if they are written to the positive end and not a negative one. By no means am I saying this is a bad idea, but perhaps this is not the way to do it.

How shoul I do it (honestly I personally was planning just on commenting on how i like certain people's not rate but I kind of wanted to know my personal rate so I could improve)

I agree wholeheartedly with Kire on this one. Rating other people's writing and ranking them can be detrimental to people's confidence. I understand that you may want to say something nice about people, but personally I feel it would be better to PM someone if you have positive feedback, as opposed to doing it on the public forums.
