Kirito's mind wandered vacantly from one thought to another as his feet dragged him away from the horrors that were now replaying constantly upon the television screen. Even Kirito's breaths were still on the border line of being pants, but then again who could blame him. Of all the things Kirito had witnessed in his life time the events he had seen carried out before his eyes today were dangerously close to being the worse. Throughout history there had been tributes that did monstrous things to their opponents while they lived and while they lied dead upon the ground. Today had confirmed something that Kirito never ceased to think about the type of disturbed tributes who did such actions. He down right never understood it. Kirito knew there was evil and mentally insane beings who strolled the ground alongside the rush of society but these tributes always seemed to take things a whole step further. They defiled corpses only seconds dead for millions to watch in utter silence. What their purpose for their actions were/are Kirito believed he would never understand, and in truth he was fine with that.
The sound of a light ding registered across Kirito's turbulent thoughts as he came to the realization that he was now standing within the elevator. At first when the doors slid shut he stood in silence contemplating where he should go. However, after about a minute or so he pressed the button for the roof and let his body lean against the elevator's back wall as he rose. Yet when the doors finally removed themselves from Kirito's path once more what he found was not the roof but a floor he recognized all too well as the memories from the night he spent drinking on the very same floor he found himself facing now, just several years ago.
Shakily Kirito rather stupidly actually stepped off the elevator and entered the floor. Initially Kirito expected that the District Twelve mentors were simply in the living room around the corner, but when his eyes fall upon the abandoned room he realized their wasn't a single other soul on the floor. Several questions quirked Kirito's mind briefly before he brushed them all aside. Kirito could feel his heart still thundering with anger at the thought of Celia and her cursed actions. So with a large sigh he began to walk quietly down the long hallway of bedrooms identical to those of District Eleven's floor.
Several minuted toiled by echoed by the hands of a nearby grandfather clock until Kirito finally discovered the room he was searching for. However, just before Kirito was able to walk through the doorway he noticed an avox paused in the hallway just to his side. With a single gesture Kirito ushered the nosy avox away as he entered what must have once been Celia's room. Right away Kirito noticed the bed sheets had been stripped and the room had already been clean. Without a doubt it seemed the Capitol wasn't planning on having any kind of lower district victor. But Kirito wondered if all of that thought had changed after Celia's brutal actions. Still, it wasn't enough to stop Kirito from standing in room for a few short moments before leaving once more.
Kirito felt his body growing heavier as he walked away from the room he was hoping would carry some of the darkness Celia must have buried within her. Yet after arriving Kirito concurred that there was nothing left in that room that even resembled anything connected to Celia. In fact, Kirito wasn't even sure there was anything left on the entire floor that shared a connection to a single resident from District Twelve. The lights were dimmed and the entire place seemed freshly cleaned without a single sign of life besides the avox Kirito spotted earlier. That was when Kirito figured it wouldn't matter if he stayed a while longer then.
More memories of Key fluttered through the storm of Kirito's mind as he pulled up an arm chair next to the window they had both sat beside that night. Sadly though even the burning brilliance of Key could net dilute the amount of anger and sorrow that riddled Kirito's body. Thoughts of Carrita's devastation and of Iain's impending troubles bounding over every thought Kirito could comprehend. Kirito could feel his sanity slipping into a realm of worry he knew must be unhealthy, but still he couldn't force himself to stop. One thought led to two others and so forth and so on the cycle went until Kirito felt his body stiffen at the sound of an elevator ping.

As far as Kirito could believe they were the ones who trained Celia to do such despicable things to those whose hearts no longer beat. As far as Kirito was concerned District Twelve stood as a statue to what District Eleven could become, and Kirito refused to let it happen. In the end, Kirito knew far too well there are certain footsteps that should never be followed.
