The Evening of Day 5

[Stare]

On the evening of Day 5 of the Games, the Arena goes very still. The winds seem to almost fall silent and the Boiling Blood stops boiling temporarily. You're wary, and who could blame you? Experience has taught you that bad things happen when the Arena starts and change, and right now it seems to hold its breath.

Out of the darkness, glowing figures begin to emerge. You brace yourself for the worst. It becomes clear very quickly, though, that these figures are not a threat - they're small and silent, moving in lines like funeral processions. There's something eerie about the way they move, and upon closer inspection you realize that they're all carrying things. The creatures finally become identifiable. You recognize the objects, too, even if there are no clear labels.

These are kodama, bearing the gifts of the dead.

The owners of dead tributes have been given the opportunity to give one useless item to the living tributes! The tribute can choose whether or not they would like to keep the item(s). See below for which tributes have received what.

Filled to the brim with ideas and thoughts, passing memories and music notes and yet this was one new, bare and it saddened her that not all the pages would be filled or torn from their roots to be cast away with a dying friend, or hidden between the wall and the wardrobe in the Capitol or snuck away in between two books in the Justice Building.
