Aloes Lumiere
No time for rest
No pillow for my head...
She woke up with a sensation of tiredness. Every single muscle of her body seemed to have turned sore and languid. Most of all Al wanted to stay in bed and dream of flowers. Through her eyelashes, she could see the shimmering light of a beautiful dawn in her window. Getting all her strength together, she plunged into the struggle of opening her eyes.
How bizarre... The sky is like that rose I saw the other day... It looks so thin and fragile - just like a gorgeous pink petal... No. Have to stop. Gotta be strong and careerish.
Stretching, yawning and wincing at the same time, she threw her blanket on the cold floor and rolled down from her bed. It was time to get up and go for a run, then head to the training center. Aloes touched her cheek. The deep bruise still hadn't healed despite the fact that she'd had it for quite a while already. Lilith Lumiere sure didn't fight half-heartedly. Al wasn't really happy about crossing paths with that young lady.
She took a couple of deep breaths and slowly stood up. For a person who had been partying until three in the morning, she was feeling very much awake. It wasn't her fault she had to follow her friends everywhere and act like she liked it. Once again, her name was to blame for all the inconveniences the career life caused for her. After dressing up quickly Al consumed three cups of coffee and ran out of the house.
Running forward, she kept thinking about that last big fight and how it ended. Letting another Career throw her around like a sack of potatoes was not a proper way of behavior for somebody like her. Strictly speaking, she should have won that time. Then she wouldn't have to feel everyone staring at her scar in training every day. She didn't care what they thought about her, but she knew that her failure was a disgrace to the Lumiere family name. If someone tried to tease her, she could say that it wasn't the end, that she wasn't going to get up and that one day she would do the same thing to Lilith. But no one said a single little thing. Her "friends" even acted nicely and dragged her to a party again.
She didn't care whether she had won that fight or not. But she also needed to know that she did all she could to minimize the damage her previous fight's outcome could have on her family's reputation. Therefore, right after entering the training center she chose a random guy who seemed taller, stronger and older than her and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hey, do you want to fight? I need a training partner for today."
If she beats him, everyone will forget the little Lilith incident. If he accepts her challenge and a fight takes place, she must come victorious out of this one. And if the victory comes quick, she will have time to go for a walk before dinner, breathe in fresh air and simply enjoy herself for the first time in ages.
...Nowhere to run from this
No way to forget
