Name: Jasik/Jack
Age: 14
Preferred Position: Preferably Moderator, but I wouldn't turn down the chance to be a Librarian.
Previous experience: I'm a Librarian/Gamemaker on HGO, I'm a mod on a Harry Potter RP, I used to be a mod on a Pokémon RP, and I was a Global Mod on one of Inno's sites until it died.
Why should we choose you? I have been here for a long time. During this glorious period, I've become friends with many of the members, vastly improved my writing ability, become more reasonable and fair, and have learned the ins and outs of being a part of this site.
Both others and myself can consider me to be a fairly fair (heh) person. I like to make things as balanced as possible so that everyone gets to enjoy themselves. I feel no love for rulebreakers and jerks, but that dislike is not to the point of developing a permanent feeling of hate for them.
The possibility of me becoming less active is almost unfathomable. Throughout the months that I've been RPing here, I have only become more devoted to this site, and even when the stress of my daily life became almost too great, I found the time to log in here and socialize with the wonderful members that inhabit this unbelievably terrific website.
Roleplay Sample:
Addy took off hurriedly for the Square at the mention of Comet, and Drynis stayed where he was, patiently awaiting her return. He paced a little to retain some body warmth and drew his old, worn jacket around him more tightly. A chilly breeze rustled his wild hair, unpleasantly freezing his nose. He quickly snatched the black bandana he always kept with him out of his pocket and tied it around his mouth and nose, concealing half of his face and keeping it a little warmer. In hindsight, it probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to wear it in the Square. At least, it would've repelled a bit of the stench. Oh, well. He couldn't change the past.
Addy returned quickly, mounted on a familiar gelding. It felt awkward looking up at her when he was used to being taller than her, but it was no matter. They weren't far from "his" house, anyway. He'd be on Raine soon enough. As if to confirm his silent plan, Addy said, "...I don't really remember its name. ...Sorry. But, are you bringing him too?"
Drynis looked up at her and smiled. "Raine. And yeah, he's not too far from here. We can pick him up on the way." They took off at a brisk trot, the movement helping to keep them warm. As they approached the turn that led to the street where Drynis's house was, he came to a sudden halt. Did he really want Addy to see what kind of place he lived in, or the people that he lived with? No. Of course he didn't. He didn't want her to meet the cruel monsters that had tossed him out on that rainy night a year ago. Shuffling his feet in embarassment, he said, "Um, Addy? Would you mind waiting here for a minute or two? I'll be right back with Raine." Without waiting for a reply, he shouldered past her horse and quickly strode down the street to his house.
Drynis's parents hadn't even cared enough to arrive to the Reaping at the same time as him. They'd come at the last second, dragging Angel along with them, and hung around on a side street. Chances are, they'd probably been crossing their fingers that their son would be reaped. The last thing Drynis wanted was to run into them, but unless he remained quiet and inconspicuous it'd be unavoidable. Employing the stealth that he was so used to, Drynis slipped between his house and their neighbor's, ducking under the kitchen window as he passed. Up ahead, in the house's backyard, was the stable where the horses were kept. Casting a bitter glance at the cot on the back porch -- despite the bitter cold, he'd been forced to sleep there as usual -- Drynis sprinted across the lawn, hoping beyond hope that his father wouldn't emerge from the house, enraged that his son hadn't been sent to his death. He quickly ducked into the stable, where he was actually welcomed.
Raine tossed his head, whinnying in greeting. Smiling, Drynis opened his stall door and let his horse trot out of the stable. As soon as the black stallion had exited the stable, Drynis shut the door to preserve heat. Although he despised his parents, the boy felt a little affection for his little sister. He didn't want her pony to get sick and make the little girl sad. It was kind of ironic that he'd care so much for her feelings, actually. If it hadn't been for her, his parents might actually take care of him, if not feel a little bit of love. But it wasn't her fault that she'd been born. No use in holding pointless grudges.
Drynis quickly mounted Raine bareback, stroking his neck affectionately before digging his heels into the horse's sides. They kept a brisk pace as they walked away from the house and down the street to where Drynis had left Addy. As soon as she was in sight, Raine whinnied a little and picked up the pace, as if he remembered her, too. "Sorry about that," Drynis said as they approached. "You ready to go?"
Other: This site has been great to me, so I want to return the favor as a staff member.
