My mother performs colorectal research and my father specialises in gastroenterology; I am the butt boy. Not the boy whose brother tragically died in the games or the boy who survived infancy in an orphanage.
”That is not true Flynn, everybody knows you.”
”Do you know how many fart words I have been called? I’m the turd boy, my parents are alive. I think all my family have died of natural causes. The boring Garner family tree.”
There is too much talk about games. I can never find a group of conversations at break time that isn’t invested in ranking the best tributes of the seventy fifth games. Even medical studies are such a bore, If I am going to be forced in any field of study it is not going to be lower abdominal. Life is less of an adventure now that I am thirteen. The burden of adolescence was dumped on me at twelve, I wasn’t prepared for it and I am probably still not now.
Honestly just one little tragedy in my life to cause a ripple, it could be a flood in the kitchen. Or great-grandpa’s clock finally stopping, he is going to live forever that one. Anything to rid me of my reputation. Come on Ripred, a near-death experience, just something to get the gossip of Flynn Garner circulating.
