This was utterly amazing and stupifying. I still can't believe Dolly was backing down from me. Me, of all people! The big bad Dolly has finally found her match. My last bout of excitement may not have been the best idea. She may be backing down, but that doesnt mean she still can't snap and go all batshit insane on me like she usually does. But the words "Whatever you say." did slip from her mouth. Although, I'm pretty sure she called me a bitch. No matter, I called her that a bunch of times already this morning. There's just one more thing that I need to do. Just one more thing that I need to get rid of.
It's in the corner by the old wooden chair my father made. I haven't touched it in weeks. I just havent had the heart to. I didn't feel like playing. Now I have a plausible excuse. My hands wrap around the handle of the cello and I lift it over my shoulder. I hold onto it with one hand as I walk towards the big window on the wall, and prop it open with my free hand. With that hand I lif the frame up until I hear a click and it stays in place. Grabbing the cello again with both hands, I heave it out of the window. There's a crack when it hits the hard ground, but I don't care. Dolly made me play that stupid thing. She said I needed something beautifully classic to offset my New Age ugliness. Now I'm free of that devil instrument.
I turn around and walk back over to my sister who is now sitting on my floor. I squat in front of her and rest my elbows on my knees. "Thanks for throwing out my cello, Sis. I was getting tired of it." That is the truth. But now I have another idea. One last thing to do. "One last thing, doll face." I roughly press my lips against hers, not caring what she was going to do with me. A few moments later, I pull back and look into her eyes and smile.
