The Taleriders triology - One Book at a Time

In the village of Azeli, people known as 'Taleriders' can live in peace from the rest of the masses, those deemed 'normal' by most. Taleriders born with the ability to enter and change - though rarely - books and immerse themselves in the literary world. Of course, there are regulations for such intrusions; but, for the most part, everything is fine and dandy in Azeli. No one hardly complains about the curfews and the rules; as long as they are given the permission to use their power for pleasure and leisure, there is no wrong about the Court of Azeli's intentions.

One day, marks appear on some books in the Library of Azeli, and there are complaints from the other towns as well. The tales are being turned into twisted dark stories no one can recognize. As the Court of Azeli 'stands' idle - fighting amongst each other for what course of action to take - the populace is disturbed - yet none take duties upon themselves either.

10-year old Lance Numark is denied permission to uncover the secrets of the mark by the Court of Azeli; and, of his own will, he defies their word, taking brothers Canon and Armastas on a quest of heroic deeds, truth-finding, and, overall, defeat the force that has been dubbed 'Inksplatter' by the signatures next to the marks - one world at a time.



@brik: Judging by how you put more explanation in the first one, it seems the Bell idea would be most suitable for NaNo. ^^

The Witch Sisters


Sypnosis
Aubery, Meda and Teagin are sisters- Witch Sisters. Born and brought up in a community of non magical folk 20 miles north of Salem, none of the girls know about their powers. Or that they are sisters. When a mystery dark man turns up of their doorstepsthe of the youngests birthday- little do they know is that they are about to enter a world of magic, adventure and boys. As the girls struggle to learn the ways of the witches before them- a great powerful darkness is rising in the midst of Salem- a darkness that threatens both their and the non magical world around them.

Excerpt

It was raining. Again. A regular occurence in spring time, in Lynnfield. Aubery liked the rain- how it gracefully fell, how it ran across her window pain. She, like a child, liked to watch the rain drops race each other. Today- she was doing it again. Watching the rain trickle down the glass pane. Aubery's reflection was foggy in the condensed glass- her crystal blue eyes staring right back at her. With a slight sigh- she leant back against the wall of the window sill, the purple pillow cushioning her back from the cold yellow wall.

Aubery was a pretty girl with pale white skin, golden blonde hair and her symetrical face. She had long thin arms and an almost flat chest apart from slight bumps where her breasts were. As a friendly girl, Aubury had many friends. Two of her best were coming to her house. She watched from her window as the light began to fade- the hours were ticking closer to the one day she craved all year; her birthday. Aubery was turning 16- finally after she had watched all her friends turn before her. Now it was her turn to get the privlages that they had received before her. Out the corner of her eye Aubery saw the unmistakenable shilouettes of two girls approaching her house through the rain. She lept from the window sill and sprinted down stairs in her jeans, shoulder cut shirt and blue stripey socks. With a bound of energy she flung the door open as one girl went to ring the doorbell.

"Meda! Teagin! You're here" She flung her arms around the two shocked house guests.

Sabina, Taylor, Autum, Kaylyn, Alexandria, and Erisa were all out one night, egging Sabina's ex's house. Two reasons for doing it- Sabina needed revenge, and everyone else hated him. However, Sabina looks over and sees a girl- Hallie Wilson. Knowing that Hallie saw them, it would ruin the whole purpose- to blame Hallie for the egging. She chases after her, and accidentally kills her.

Sabina tells no one. The next day, a search begins for her. Sabina can't seem to keep her mind off of it. Three days later, they find her. Soon, all six girls begin to receive threatening letters and texts. Quickly, they turn into things far worse, like death threats, and for Sabina personally, threats to tell the cops she killed Hallie. After Sabina realizes a terrible secret, all six of their lives could easily be in danger- there were two people watching them last night, and soon, they come to realize that Sabina killed the wrong witness.

I couldn't explain in words why I needed his touch so badly; instead I smashed our lips together in a wild flurry of teeth and tongue. He was initially caught off guard by the simmering fury in my kisses, all hot and quick and vicious, but he responded the best he could with grasping fingers and blunt nails. I gasped into his mouth when his fingers raked down my spine, sending out a shockwave that vibrated all across my body. It was like I was on fire – my own strength deceived me as my hips pushed him into the wall and I took control, mapping a trail of victory along the expanse of his neck. Beneath me he was heavy and hot and real, something I could cling onto as the world spun out from under me.

“Touch me,” I snarled into his mouth and he obliged, hands tracing constellations into my skin and weaving galaxies into my hair. Chris burned away all the filth that stuck to my skin, and for the first time in months I felt whole and good and clean again. He paused when I buried my face into the crook of his neck and simply trembled, but became my castle and stroked my locks until I stirred again and pressed a slower, sweeter kiss to his lips. They curved against mine and I felt myself smile in turn,
but it was like a fractured rainbow, all warm and hopeful and unsure. “Are you okay?” he mumbled, pressing his hips to mine and letting me recover the breath that had been stolen from my lungs. “what was that about?”

It was impossible to tell him why I needed his healing hands or why not even the highest dose felt like enough anymore, so I summoned up the raging energy that still bound the elasticity in my limbs, arching into him and taking him off guard again. If he was allowed to see into my words I might never have him again, so I hoped that my frantic bites and soothing licks let him understand in ways I could never manage. We backpedalled into the first room with his hands clumsily groping for the doorknob, stumbling into the room filled with thick darkness and the damp smell of sex. Somebody had already been in here as we fell together on the tangled sheets but it was the least of our concern, joined and refusing to part. There was a rushing need for all of him that threatened to devour me the longer we were apart, skin touching skin and air being traded for the dizzying feeling of being unable to breathe. I gasped my permission as he peeled the shirt from my sticky skin, brushing back the hair from my face and touching my piercings with utmost care.

“When--” he started but I cut him off faster, teeth finding a home in the corner of his jaw and his words left him in a rush of strong liquor and toothpaste. It was the sweetest of sins how his fingers made bruises in the hollows of my hips, limbs spidered to smother him with my presence. Eyes wide open in the dark, I smoothed my palms over the strength of his chest and took comfort in the erratic beating of his drumming boy heart. His palm found my sternum and his warmth flew into me, banishing the lingering taint and I suddenly felt light as air.

I showed my appreciation by kissing the sun-touched skin and popping the button on his jeans, grinning wide and quick at the gasp it produced. Just as I snuck my fingers into the waistband of his underwear he halted me, eyes wild but unsure. Everything he didn't need to say lingered unsaid between our bodies and I smiled – slower, for once. Deeper. It went further than anything I could have uttered out into the air where they were liable to be twisted and broken – before crawling up his body, letting his sandpaper hands smooth the skirt away from my thighs and settle me against his pelvis.

There was a brief flash of pain and I curled my fingers against his skin, teeth flashing bright in the moonlight. My nails created little patterns of half-moon crescents and we learned together, rising and falling even as the rushing in my veins took me higher and higher and higher until my gaze turned glassy and my skin felt like it was on fire. Sweat ran down my temple and curved across the expanse of my jaw – I tracked its progress with heavy hands even as my calves settled beneath me and Chris's eyes watched me through the velvet cover of darkness. The trust and adoration (and something better left unsaid starting with L) swirled in his dark brown and painted itself raw and unchanged across his features, splashing him brilliantly pale in the hazy light of the moon. It was an expression I'd seen before and even through the veil of ecstasy it sent pangs of unease skittering through the membrane of my skull.

As his hands ghosted up my stomach and were bathed in moonlight, I had a sudden overlap of blonde hair spilling over my shoulders and a different face watching me, eyes narrowed without their glasses. I stiffened as I closed my eyes and my face twisted in an effort to shove back the flow of memory, pushing your influence far from my mind – but you followed me wherever I went and was not to be ignored.

The dance would never end showed as experienced lines as you moved in time with him, spreading sin and redemption over your skin. Hot breath against your cheeks that felt like anticipation to you alone, Momma's ring glinted on your finger even as you wormed your way so deep into him that the both of you would never be able to part. As you arched over and howled your lust to the celestial skies, you cried Daddy in a way that prompted an orgy of backlash that was so right because it was wrongwrongwrong. He curled into your with an erratic jerk of his hips and you tenderly clean the sweat from his skin with a seeking tongue and utmost care.

If I had known the true depth of your intentions, this was the day I found how vehemently a person can love.

The filth that Chris had cleansed exploded back through my skin as I felt something warm pool low in my belly, his breath painting my stomach in patterns of depravity that I tried in vain to erase. His hand raised to my face and I jumped away as if burned, a spike of pain running through my abdomen and causing me to double over even as I tumbled off the side of the bed.

I recovered as quickly as I could, shuddering and whimpering as my nails raked helplessly across my hips, my chest, digging so hard to scrape off the invisible layer that it broke the skin and little beads of blood glinted bright in the luminescent light. Chris looked like a painting, scared and nervous and confused as he got up on his knees to crawl towards me.

You were everywhere; under my skin and in my hair and just everywhere that I couldn't reach – his touch burned in the way it healed you and La Rose repeated over and over in my mind like a sick chant. I wasn't cut out for this – for the unforgiving passion and cruel lust and I stumbled to pull on my clothes, haphazard and numb even as the throb echoed from the apex of my thighs and spread outwards in a way that made me want to crawl into the shower and crank the lever so high I would simply melt away. “Lyss?” he called, nervous and confused, but I ignored him, pushing the skirt over my bruising hips and having to try the buckle three times to get it through the shaking of my hands. Everything was too loud and too bright and the smell made me sick, bile churning in my gut in a way that would expel everything but the grime that had penetrated into my very soul.

“Alyssa, are you okay?” I ignored him again, swallowing thickly and pulling my top over my stomach, wiping at my hands with the heels of my hands whenever they were clouded with a film of tears. My stuttering breathing must have spurred him into action because there was a hand, warm and heavy, circling my wrist. “Baby, talk to me.”

A mumble and you head nuzzled its way into his stomach. He laughed and fondly stroked your hair, weaving punctuation and soliloquies into the roots of your scalp. “Baby, talk to me.” Dad murmured, touch gentle but demanding at once. Your smile was lazy and content as you rolled over to glance at him, cheek stroking the crease of his thighs and making him shudder. “Love you.”

“No!” I shrieked, shoving him away even as the hiccups in my inhales bubbled over to incoherent gasps. My head swirled and I nearly fell, but I stumbled last second and fought through the hot well of panic quickly consuming my speech. “You can't, I-- he's here, Chris! He's fucking everywhere-- don't,” His brows dropped drastically and his face suddenly looked older and terrified, drawing back when he attempted to stroke the panic from my features. “Who's here, Lyss? Who is it?”

I tried but I couldn't – that fucking word again – even though my reasons were becoming muddled and confused with each other, tangling and twisting until all I could get out was a massive snarling bundle of half-formed sentences punctuated by gut-wrenching sobs. “No, I can't-- Chris, you can't let him, t-they'll take her away! She'll be gone a-and it'll be my fault, I need to-- I need to go,” I muttered, barging my way out of the room and ignoring the sticky trail seeping down my legs and his shouts following me down the stairs. The throbbing lights fractured my vision through the tears and I had that toxic feeling again, like I was covered in oil and flailing helplessly in the sea. I had invited it in because I was too stupid to remember that you always won, and now I was drowning.
