Joining up with this pair will lead to blood, something I expect to be sure. If the way they handled themselves at the bloodbath is any indication, their combined fighting prowess is truly deadly. The boat is surprisingly easy to handle, and it is an added weight that makes up for the weight I have left behind. Charas was left behind in the gathering snow like a ragdoll that a child has tired of playing with. I am certain that her body will be collected before any wandering beasts can savage it, and I don't have the time to reflect at the moment. I glance at my hand, which holds a necklace with a star shaped pendant around it. It belonged to her, and now to me. We haven't gotten far when a cannon sounds. It would appear that other fights are underway.
To my chagrin we find the tributes in question almost instantly. A bloody musclebound tribute has fallen in the snow and above him stand a boy and a girl. The boy I recognize as the one Shayde had had a vendetta against. Berkley or something like that. The pair I have deigned to travel with for the time being go after the other two with a vengeance. The one who has a slighter frame charges and cuts the girl down in a single blow, which leaves the boy for I and the taller tribute. The other who uses the same weapon as I hurls a blade and catches Berk in the arm. It is left up to me to prove me worth as well as my own prowess. As such, I let the blade fly.
