"Did your father compete in the games? Also, he shouldn't expect you to be himself. Maybe he's taking his regrets out on you." It was getting harder and harder to resist throwing my arms around him and hugging him. His father was coming across me as a bit of an antagonist. "You go at each others throats, huh? Thomas, I'm sure your family loves you. In fact, I'm positive they love you." I think to my parents and how proud they are of my brother. The one person they 100% let train to be a Career. If Thomas had ever been born into my family I swear he would have been the favorite. I wouldn't even be considered family... I blinked the thought away."Do you have any siblings?" I bit the pink skin on the inside of my mouth looking down at his arm.
A bar and grill. And his dad took him? My vision of his father seemed to lighten. "Well then, you'll just have to show me this restaurant" I say playfully in a matter-of-fact tone. I raise my head and smile like the queen of England then lower my head and let out a small laugh, looking up at his face. God, he's handsome no matter how I look at him... I feel my face flush in red.
I put my hand over my cheek, half covering my mouth and my fingers placed over my nose. I was smiling at him and I was about to protest when he told me I should go in first. I feel my hand slowly slip off my face. My eyes widen, probably sparkling for all I know. My mouth opens just a bit and I plant my feet, freezing. Beautiful... The light behind him placed a gentle glow on him. His outstretched hand to wards me. I'm so speechless I can barely even breath. I stare at him like he's an angel and I can't look away.
I catch my breath and realize I left him standing there. I take a slow step for wards hearing my shoes silently tap the floor. I lift my arm and gently place my hand in his. His hand is sort of cold but my mind flashes to an old saying I heard. People with cold hands have warm hearts. I have no doubt in my mind he's as perfect as anyone can get. His hand is big around mine and I step for wards pulling him into the lamp light. I look up at the tall old fashion lamp, standing in the middle. I slowly look back to normal and stare into Thomas' eyes, not sure what to do and forgetting the park and everything.
I relax my hand, smiling at him. I have no way to hide my blushing face. "It's nice to finally see you for real." I say to him, eyelids slightly drooped. I look at all his features, trying to memorize them. I close my eyes. "I'm not what you expected me to look like right?"
