Wind. I hate it. It makes it harder for me to do my job, and I have to dress in extra layers rather then my usual t-shirt and jeans. But of course, Mom is making me go outside and take the dog for a walk. A long with buy tonight's supper. We're having a big celebration, I think it's about the crops not failing after a long week of horrible weather. Or maybe it's my sister's birthday? I completely forget. It's not like I pay attention to them, anyways. I hook the dog to a rope, and walk out the door. "I'm leaving now, Mom." I yell inside the house. I live not a far distance away from the town, so it doesn't take me long to get to the neighbourhood store.

I'm not even a block away from the store, when the dog just starts to speed up. I yell a bunch of words at him to slow down and stop, but he has his eye focused on something. I pull on the rope a lot, but the dog is too strong. I get dragged right past the store, and I feel myself flying through the air. I faceplant right into the ground, and a bunch of people look at me in concern, but no one comes near. The dog even stops, in concern. He licks my face, while I get on my knees. I tenderly touch the spot where my face hurts the most, and look at my hand. It has blood on it. "Shoot." I mutter. I groan and look at anyone, pleading for help with my look. I was being an attention seeker. I really didn't need help, it's just I'm bored and I want to be out longer. At least, the dog tripping me gives me an excuse why I was gone for so long.

I am walking down the sidewalk just turning the corner when i see him. Blood is trickling down his face as he looks down at his dog then looks at me with his blue (somewhat greenish) eyes. I run over almost immediatly and help him up off the ground. " Are you ok?" I ask. He then simply replys "I'am fine thanks but, my face hurts". I stare at the large cut on his face for a moment and say " Let me help you out with that"

I looked up at the kind eyes that decided to help me, and took his hand as he helped me up. "I am fine, thanks, but my face hurts." I looked at the boy as he offered to help me. "Uh, thanks." He awkwardly said, and looked down at the dog. He was looking up innocently up at me, his eyes were looking at me as if he was saying he was sorry. I kneeled down and sratched the dog's back. "It's OK, buddy. Wasn't your fault." I was contradicting myself, as it actually was the dog's fault. The dog looked up, pleased. I stood back up and looked at the boy who was still there, looking at me. "Uh, thanks again. I'm Fallstreak. And you are...?"

"Your welcome, I'am Hunter, Hunter Gem" I lean down and stare into the dogs eyes, I scratch him on the forehead and smile. "Thats a nice dog you have there" I say.....

"Oh, thanks. His name is Rusty." A common dog name. I was just 10 when I named him, don't blame me. I wiped some blood that was dripping down my cheek. I could feel a big gash on my right cheek and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a scrape on my left cheek, either. "Nice to meet you, Hunter." Was my delayed reaction.

Running around the corner as if being chased I stop in my tracks at the sight of the cutest dog I have ever seen. I take a quick glace behind me knowing the other kids had ether given up or were going to be a while before they caught me. Before walking over to the dog I take a quick glace at the two people talking, one with blood on his face and the other seeming to help him. I shrug my shoulders and skip over to the strange group.

Avoiding eye contact with the older kids I head straight for the dog. Being little and cute has its advantages, no one ever expects much more then this from me. Kneeling down I stuff my face in the dogs fur, breathing in the smell of him. Within moments I am sure the other two will notice me and shoo me off, but until then I will enjoy the feel of the dogs fur.

"Nice to meet you too" I reply. I turn back around to get a quick glimpse of the scenery and I look down and see a figure petting rusty. I think to myself " Ah who cares its ok, I might as well ask for a name" I turn my back and kneel down to the figure petting rusty. "Hello. Who are you?".....

I wiped my cheek once again, knowing it probably wasn't best if I did that, but I couldn't stand the feeling of liquids dripping down my cheek. "Thanks for your help, Hunter. But my Mother is kind of expecting me to pick up something from the store, so, I'll see you later? At school, maybe?" I smiled at him. I do admit, when I got the injury, I was being an attention seeker and asking for help even though I didn't need it. I just wanted an excuse to be out here longer. I turned around to get Rusty, just to see he was smiling in between his panting. A girl was patting him, and scratching his back. I just stood there, smiling. "Hi." I raised an eyebrow, smiling cockily at the stranger who was petting my black and white dog. I kneeled down so he was levelled to the girl and so that I could get the rope to his dog.

I quickly snap back to reality and answer quickly " Oh yeah, Yeah! Ill see you in school". I then turn my attention back to the girl petting rusty. "So how are you..." I say as causually as i can...

Surprised by the voices I snap back into reality, knowing that I should have asked to touch the dog, I look up at them with scared eyes. I then see the boy holding the leash kneel down next to the other one, the tone in their voice sounds nice enough to me so I calm down and give them a big smile.
"Hi! My name is Neta!"
Looking the boys over some more I notice the cut on the boy with the dog's face, before I can say anything I hear the other person ask how I am doing.
"I am doing better then he is" I giggle out pointing at the boy with the cut on his face.

Fallstreak listened as the young girl, who couldn't be older then 9, told the two boys her name, which was apparently Neta. The blonde boy smiled at the girl, listening to her young voice that was full with spirit. The girl sounded like a smart-alec, when she was asked how she was doing she answered "Better then he is" and pointed to Fallstreak, who still had the huge gash on his pale face. When he heard her answer, he had a surprised look on his face, and rushing his hand to his face. Fallstreak had completely forgotten about the huge gash on his face. "I should probably do something about this..." he chortled, blood still dripping down his pale cheek as he took off his leather jacket and ripped off a part of his short sleeved shirt. Rolling it up in a small ball, he placed it on his face and held it there. The boy watched as the dog was pleased that the young girl, Neta, was scratching his smooth black fur. The ball that he had just placed on his face was bleeding through already, so he teared off both sleeves and placed it on his bleeding cheek. "That should do..." The blonde muttered, a little upset that he didn't out strong the dog.

Still loving the dog, I look up at the pale boy as he speaks. I watch him rip his shirt and place it on the cut, I also the crimson liquid seeping through the cloth. I glare at the boy when he says that his cut would be fine, I know how fast something can get infected in a place as dirty as District 11.

I jump to my feat and sternly tell the boy that he needs to get that taken care of, because who will take care of the adorable dog if he dies! As I am speaking I am also digging through my pockets, mom always makes me carry some Witch Hazel in my pocket. I always end up bleeding somehow, be it because I'm careless or because I started something with someone I shouldn't have. Mom was sick of blood always getting on my cloths so she now makes me carry this plant around with me.

Slipping my fingers around the plant in my pocket I lift it out and hold it up to the boy.

"Use this, my mother always makes me use it when I get a booboo and it stops the blood right away!" I give the boy a cute smile and wait for him to take the plant.

Hiding behind the corner, I smiled. Watching a little girl was always a joy for me, never having a little sister. I picked at the scar under my lip. Everything seemed odd in this daylight. A shiver would make it's way from my head to the tip of my feet. It was a shock into reality or so I believed. I now slid my hand into my pocket in which a knife was hidden. Hopefully, they wouldn't see me sneak by or think I looked supicious. I walked slowly across the grass, bumping into a building and falling to the ground. I yelled the words, a little to loud "Damn it!" Getting up I attempted to scurry off but fell once more. Blood was gushing from the vein in my left arm but I ignored it. Giving up, I got up and approached the two people talking. "I hate to interupt but does anyone have a piece of cloth I could use?" I would sigh, the pain increasing. Finally, I would pull some mint plants from my pocket and start chewing on them. Mumbling to myself I said "Why must the human body be so weak?" [/color]

Carefully he took the plant, and replaced the cloth of his own sleeve to the plant. It made the pain extremely bearable, as he signed in relief. "Thank you... very, very much." he chuckled, and grabbed the leash to Rusty. "Well, I better get going now. I was only supposed to be gone for a few minutes." The trip his mum made him do was take the dog, Rusty, for a small walk along with get tonights supper. He patted the money he had in his pocket, and turned around to head towards the marketplace. But then, I heard a female voice, different from the little girls and sounded much more like someone my age. The girl was asking for help, and she had a cut a lot like the gash on my face, except on her arm. The girl had striking red hair which would probably be the first thing I noticed about her, minus the blood gushing from her arm. "The only cloth I have is bloody... but it's dry blood."}

Fallstreak placed the non-bloody side of his cloth to the girls arm, hoping it would work, He let go, and slowly and swiftly took the leaf off of his face, hoping it looked better. "Does it look better?" He asked naively, even though he knew if probably wasn't ready to be taken off yet. He wanted to show off the scrape on his face, just to say 'I have a gash too!'[/sup][/blockquote]
