Name:
"Zinnia Yaren, though I get called all kinds of wonderful names back home, like dirt, filth, and trash.
Isn't it so great?"
District:
"District One, sadly."
Age:
"I just turned 15 years old a month ago."
How confident do you feel about the games now that you've seen your training score?
"Well, see, training scores don't mean crap. If you get a low score, you won't get sponsored. If you get a high score, you have a heck of a lot of people out to kill you. If you get a score that's somewhere in between, well, you're still probably going to die. No matter what, you're pretty much still dead, unless you're a lucky person. Which I'm not. So, I guess that means I had better start looking for some four-leaf clovers while I'm here, huh?"
What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?
"Impressed? I'm not impressed. I can't see the stars at night because the lights are so bright. I'm hoping for a power-outage."
Do you have a special someone back home *nudge nudge*?
"A special someone? Why yes, I have my imaginary friend Bob. At least he can't be killed... But seriously, I don't have anyone. Everyone used to avoid me, well, probably because of my amazing hygiene.. and the fact that I'm kind of homeless probably has something to do with it too. I'm the person that no one wants to be with. If only they saw me now, all dressed up and clean. Ha, I would be the talk of the town."
What do you like to do in your free time?
"I like to sit on the curb. And start fights with other teenagers who are vastly stronger then me. People tend to kick me and throw insults at me, when I'm sitting on the curb. Sometimes I eat. Yup, I live in complete luxury. It's a great life."
What is your family like?
"What family? My mom was killed, my father was murdered, the man who took me into his home to help me kicked me out onto the streets again because he couldn't stand me. I'm a one person family. I've learned that people can't hurt you, if you don't give them the chance. So what better way, then to never talk to anyone?"
Do you miss anything in particular from back home?
"No, I'm glad to be gone from the place. Good riddance."
What's something you'd like to say to your friends and family back home? How about your fellow tributes?
"F*** you."
