Gabriel was walking in the streets, with just a bag full of stuff with his eyes closed. Following that voice he always heard at night, the one that kept his mouth, eyes, and ears shut. Idly following it, when he opened his eyes he put both of his arms out.
He stopped when his foot bumped into something. He bent down and picked it up, he felt it all around, it was a smooth rock. He put it in his bag and then continued walking with that low, dark, mysterious, voice.
Until he came to walk right into a wall, he fell backwards, right then he heard another voice. A faint voice that sounded like his father's voice. He got up and ran towards his voice and then when it was finally yelling in his ears he was sure it was his father infront of him. With all his anger and might her punched infront of him. When his hand inpacted the person infront of him, he realized it wasn't his father but another person. He realized it was a girl when she let out a little yelp and started crying.
After he realized his mistake he ran towards another voice, this time it was his sister's, Lireal and she was laughing at him. He cursed under his breath and growled a low growl.
Soon he found himself darting after his sister's laugh, when he got there he smelled fresh pine. He sat down and finally heard a voice he'd never heard before. It was of a girl all she said was one word, in actuality, it was a name, Lily. He quickly sat up, and took in a deep breath, then screamed with all his anger. A few moments after he heard some thing in the woods. He prepared himself for whatever came out.

<sup>Anna was having a mostly normal day. The only thing following her around that people couldn't see was Lily. She was just walking, a smile on her face, as she talked to Lily. She wasn't spinning, or tracing cracks, just walking. People weren't looking at her like she was crazy. Partly because it was late enough that there weren't many people on the streets, but mostly because she wasn't drawing the attention to herself that she normally did. She liked it.

Then Lily made her mad. She harrumphed, crossing her arms over her chest, and kept walking, a pout on her lips. But Lily was still talking. She wasn't telling her to do anything bad, really. She just wanted to play a game. But it was one of the games that always made people look at her like she was the craziest, and she liked that that wasn't happening yet.

"Stop," she said, finally as she turned a corner. I don't want to play. It makes people think I'm weird, Lily. I don't want to."

But Lily kept talking as she flew next to Anna. And Anna kept saying no. Finally Lily threatened to pinch her. Still, Anna said no. So Lily pinched her.

Anna shrieked, rubbing at the piece of flesh Lily had just pinched using two hands. "Lily!" she cried, angry. "Go play somewhere else!"

But her last words were drowned out by a loud scream. Anna's eyes widened in surprise as her head swiveled around to find the source of the sound. There, a boy just standing there, yelling.

Frowning in anger, he had cut off her conversation after all, and he was yelling for no reason, Anna sucked in a breath and stomped toward the boy. Then, with a quick motion she jabbed him in the stomach with her finger. "Stop that, it's rude!"</sup>

Gabriel stopped yelling when he felt a jab in his stomach. He missed what the girl had said and figured that he better apologize anyways. But instead of saying something, he said nothing. When he finally got the words out of his mouth he didn't apologize but asked a simple question. "Are you Lily?"
He silently facepalmed himself in his mind and grabbed his bag up, right when his sister came through the same way he came, panting clearly out of breath.
Before he could even comprehend why she was there she smacked him right across the face. "You, jerk had me worried. Why in the world would you do that? Was it because of her?" Lireal was pointing directly at the girl she saw there. Gabriel soon leaned in closer to Lireal and whispered somethings in her ear, "The voices, they were tempting me again."
Lireal looked at her brother, and then looked at the girl, "It was her wasn't it?" Lireal turned and started walking towards the girl, but Gabriel stopped her half-way. " It wasn't her so just leave her alone!" He found his voice increased and he was yelling again, trying to get over the voices in his head. "Just leave her alone!!" Lireal was taken back by her brother's tone towards her, she could tell that she, herself had angered him. Finally she turned towards the way she came and started walking after a little while she turned towards him. " Aren't you coming with me?"
Gabriel looked at his sister then towards the girl. "No......Maybe......No......Yes......I DON'T KNOW!" Gabriel turned towards the direction that neither of them were facing and started to run that way. " JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" Lireal sighed and continued on towards the village. She knew he'd come back out once he was calmed down.

<sup>Anna's eyes widened when the boy asked her if she was Lily. She was about to answer him when a girl showed up. Soon the two were fighting, and though she didn't know why, Anna seemed to be part of it.

And then they were walking in opposite directions, the boy screaming to leave him alone. It had happened so fast she could barely keep up. And they had scared Lily away. Anna's head swiveled back and forth between the girl and the boy. She was itching to follow them both, but she knew she could only follow one. She bit her lip and turned to follow the girl. The boy didn't seem to like people.

She had to run to catch up to her, but when she did she slowed her pace and walked silently on the opposite side of the path as her. Finally, Anna crossed over. "Hi, I'm Anna Grand, maybe. Why were you guys fighting?"</sup>

Lireal paused for a moment and looked at the girl, then continued to walk forward this time at the same pace as Anna. "Lireal Kirtola, as for why we were fighting it's none of your business. You don't know what happened to him and I highly doubt you could possibly relate to him." She felt offended for leaving Gabriel all alone, because of what happened last time he was like that....She kept on walking with Anna, she just didn't say anything. Before she knew it birds flew away from the area that Gabriel ran into, she knew he was in trouble......

"Brother please.....stop" Lireal and Gabriel were only 6 and it was one year after the 'incident' happened. Lireal was crying and Gabriel was looking at the ground from the top of a building. "I have to sister, the voices tell me it will make them stop. They're telling me I'm useless, pathetic, weak, and a sorry excuse for a brother. I want to jump, but my leg say no, besides nobody can stop me. Not you, or anybody else can stop me from jumping. All of a sudden several Peace Keepers came in with Lucifer, his father, and his mother. Lucifer's father stepped forward, " Young boy you are disrupting the peace of District 3, get down from there now or else I'll have to shoot you!"
Within hearing those words Lireal ran away afraid to see her brother die like that, nobody stopped her just like nobody could stop Gabriel. She finally stopped when she heard several gunshots. She crawled into an alleyway and cried herself asleep. In the morning she heard chains rattling. Her brother was there infront of her, loccked up in chains, his eye blackened, his lip bleeding, and several cuts on his body. But the main thing there was that he was alive, after then Lireal always made sure the voices could never hurt him again, but secretly they always were around. They just never made any big stunts until now and this time nobody is around to stop him.

Lireal turned around and then paused crouching down allowing Anna to get on her back. "Get on my back, we have to get back to my brother...Before it's too late...." Lireal's voice was a little shaky but she still held it together afraid that if she started crying the tears would never stop, unlike 9 years ago. Sadly, this time she has a pain in her heart that won't stop. Maybe it's already too late......

<sup>Anna stared at her a moment, confused before she obediently climbed onto the girls back. She didn't know why they were doing this, but maybe it was a game. Maybe she had fairies, too. And they told her how to play games like this. But Anna was pretty convinced she was the only one who could see the Shadow People and the fairies.

The girl seemed troubled as she set off, and it was starting to rub of on Anna. "Are you okay, Lireal?" she asked, giving her a hug from her perch on Lireal's back. "Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be okay. I don't know what's wrong, but it'll all be okay."

It wasn't long before Lily was sitting on her shoulder. "I'm not playing your game, Lily," Anna said suddenly, frowning. "I'm playing with the stranger girl right now. She's not a Shadow People, see?" Anna tapped the girl on the head, then swung her legs, which were a good distance off the ground. "The Shadow People don't let me touch them."

She brushed Lily off her shoulder. "So go away. I'll play with you later."</sup>

Lireal took a few minutes to respond to Anna's question, "No....I'm not alright." While running towards the area Gabriel was at she was thinking of what Anna had said. Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be okay. I don't know what's wrong, but it'll all be okay. The doctor has said the same thing to her when Gabriel was in the hospital, and he came out blind. It wasn't all okay, most of it was though.
Maybe I can trust her... After several moments Lireal slowed down, getting closer to the area Gabriel was at. She gently lets Anna down off of her back. She takes a few steps forward and then looks back at Anna. "Want to go in together?" She holds her hand out to Anna, hoping she'll say yes. Hoping that she won't have to go in alone seeing her brother like whatever he is.

<sup>Anna smiled nervously at Lireal's obvious fear of what she'd find. She'd come to the realization that this wasn't a game. This was real life. And it was scary. She liked her simple, happy life she lived with the Shadow People and her Fairy. She didn't have any troubles, except that normal people didn't like her very much.

But she had a feeling that the girl needed her. So she took her hand. It was a hesitant slow motion, or at least it felt that way, but once she took it she held it firm. "I'll... I'll go with you, Lireal," she finally whispered. "I don't know what I'm walking into, but I'll go with you."

She smiled, for a few moments everything felt right in her life. Once she saw her brother though, all of that changed quickly. She let every tear she wanted to cry out. She saw her brother with a bloody knive and several bloody marks on his body. She let go of Anna's hand and ran over to her brother. She put her head on one of his shoulders, crying. She stopped when he put his hand on her back and started stroking her he back, calming her slightly. His voice was weak but still able to be heard. "I knew you'd come, I knew you'd save me." She didn't understand she didn't save him. But maybe he wasn't adressing her maybe he was adressing Anna. Right then she remembered hearing the name Lily before she came in and started arguing with him. "Was it Lily? Did she save you?" Before he could reply she looked at Anna. "Who is Lily anyways?"

<sup>Anna's eyes widened when she saw the boy. It was the same boy from earlier, the yelling boy. He didn't look good at all. He was all bloody. And his voice was quiet. She found herself walking toward him, and Lireal, who was already with him, holding him. She was shocked into motionlessness, however, when Lily was mentioned. "Lily?" she asked quietly. "It can't be Lily. She's my fairy friend. I'm the only one that can see her and the Shadow People. They told me so. It's why everyone thinks I'm crazy and doesn't like me, because I can see them."

Slowly she stood next to Lireal, her hands hovering around them, not sure what to do, but wanting to do something. And scared, because they might hate her now that they knew about Lily and the Shadow People.</sup>

Gabriel gently opened his eyes and stared at Anna, thinking of the possible things that she was thinking at that moment. "The thing is...." Lireal started to tell Anna but was cut off by her brother. " I'm blind, I can't see Lily but I can hear and feel her. As for the Shadow People, I think I know of one named Balthazar." Lireal got up and started looking for her brother's bag. "Where is it?" She was looking around the tree he was leaning up against, when she looked up she found it stuck on a branch. She sighs and starts to climb the tree, she finally reaches the bag and puts it on her back. Slowly making sure she doesn't fall, she comes back down and reaches the bottom.
After a few moments she reaches inside and takes out the bandages she was looking for. With the said bandages she starts to wrap them around Gabriel's head wound, his arm wound and one of his leg wounds. After several moments of silence Gabriel tried to get up, but fell back down.
Lireal looked at Anna, she felt sorry for her having people treat her like a freak. Then looked at Gabriel, he was the same as Anna except instead of seeing them he heard them, with one thing he surprized her, he actually was able to tell somebody that he was blind instead of having herself tell them.Maybe, coming here wasn't so bad. Gabriel finally has somebody he can relate to and so does Anna.....Too bad I don't "My name is Gabriel by the way. Just call me Gabe if you want to" She smiled at her brother, and he smiled back. He finally has a friend. "Hey, Anna do you think you can help me get Gabriel somewhere better then this forest?" While saying that she grabbed ahold of her brother's arm and put it around her neck.

((OCC: Let's pretend that Balthazar is like the bad leader of the Shadow people. =P))

<sup>((ooc: but they're not real, they're in their heads, so we'd have different shadow people and fairies, but whatever. I'll just pretend like Anna thinks she's never heard of him yet or something. Or they can come to the conclusion that Fairies and Shadow people only let one person hear them at a time. Basically, they'll influence each other's crazy. Sound good?))

Anna opened her eyes wide when the boy told her about being blind. She didn't like the sound of that. Not to be able to see would be scary. "Well, Lily's a good kid, but she makes people think I'm even crazier cause she likes games. And there's the wishing ritual, which looks funny..." She decided not to make a big deal out of him being blind, he probably didn't want it to be a big deal. She wouldn't.

"Balthazar?" she asked quietly. "That sounds like a bad person's name. I try to stay away from the bad People, because they tell me to do things I don't want to do. They look different, though, so it's easy." Realizing what she said she clapped her hands over her mouth, then took them away. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it."

Anna walked over to help Lireal with Gabriel. As they began to walk she turned her head and whispered in his ear. "I'm Annabelle Grand, sorta. It's the name the Lab Guys gave me."

Then she turned to look where she was walking and talked louder so both of them could hear. "Do you want to come to my house? It's big and there's lots of space, even though I'm the only one who lives there. The Lab Guys gave it to me when they made me leave the lab."</sup>

Gabriel sat there listening to all that the girl had to say, especially when she apologized. When they helped him up he leaned on his sister more knowing that she might support him up better and also not knowing how much the the other girl could hold up. When the girl whispered her name in his ear, he blushed a little.
"Anna, that'd be great." He knew that his sister would probably have some where else to go. "Well, actually I was going to go somewhere else but I guess your house is okay too" His sister rubbed her neck with the free arm she had, something she usually did when she was embarrassed or lying.
"I think I'm fine walking alone now" He really did think he could, but instead of having his sister let go of him she held onto his arm trying to make sure she doesn't touch it. " I know you can't heal that quickly." She finally sighs and lets go of him but if he falls she isn't going to let go of him. A few moments after she let him go, he's limping a little but is still going the same pace as Anna and his sister.
Looking up at the sky, she notices that the sun is setting, and the air is cooling down. "We better get there soon before it gets completely dark."

<sup>The boy wasn't putting a lot of weight on Anna, but that was probably a good thing. She felt bad for being useless, but Gabriel did have a good ten inches on her. The only reason she had been able to reach his ear when she whispered to him was because he was stooping slightly to match his sister's height, and because after countless games with Lily Anna had become quite adept at walking on her toes.

Still, when he tried to stop leaning on the two girls Anna couldn't help but reach, trying to support him longer. He didn't exactly look his best. Still, Lireal let him be, so she did too. She began whispering things, mumbling to the Shadow People. They were following her again, and wouldn't listen when she told them to go away. She hated it when they did that. They listened so well sometimes, and then others, like this one, they were so difficult.

Anna looked over at Lireal when she mentioned needing to get there soon. "Don't worry, it's real close by," she said happily. She turned a corner and began walking up one of the better streets in the districts. She stopped at a lonely house with no lights on like the others around her. Opening the door she let the others walk in ahead of her.

Her house was certainly bigger than most, but it wasn't lived it. Not really. There were only minimal furnishings. Beds in all the bedrooms; a couch, a table, some chairs and the mandatory television in the living room; a dining table, another television, and some seating in the dining room; all the necessary kitchen space and appliances and no more in the kitchen, etc. The walls were a suffocating white. Even the air in the rooms felt stale and lonely, at least to Anna. And she hated how the emptiness made her voice echo off the walls like a new home. It was no wonder Anna spent most of her time outside of home. Home reminded her of how lonely she really was.

Anna smiled at her two guests. "There's first aid in the bathroom down stairs, I don't know what's upstairs, I don't go up there. But down here there are enough rooms for all of us."

Lireal stared at the house, it reminded her of the white labs where her father died at. Luckily Gabriel couldn't see or he would have another one of his 'fits'. She decided to lie to her brother when he asked what it looked like, but he would always fine out and give her the silent treatment. Which made it worse because he was blind. She could remember when in Lucifer's house how there was always the fresh smell of something baking. She always would come home to her brother whom had locked himself in his room.
At times if she tries hard enough she can remember the older times when her father put her on his shoulders, oftenly Gabriel did that with her, but not lately. When he did she would be his eyes and he would be her feet. When she looked up she tried to imagen how tall the walls were to see if she could do it again, she was guessing around 8 to 10 feet heigh. She gently tugged on her brother's shirt to get his attention, then she whispered something into his ear. "Will you maybe, let me play blind eyes walking feet with you, then maybe Anna could play with you if she wanted." Gabriel moved his feet around, knocking them into things purposely to get a better knowledge of his surroundings. Gabriel then walked over to Lireal without bumping into anything.
Gabriel then turned to Lireal, "I'd rather not, since well she'd probably freak out once she got on my shoulders. How about you help her out in the kitchen or whatever and besides did you bring the pills?" She was slightly offended by what her brother had told her. Especially about the pills, unless..... She quickly opened up the bag and started to look for the pills, she couldn't find them..... She looked at her brother who already sat down, he had taken the pills because the voices told him to. He smirked at her and then frowned, he could feel the ground slightly shaking.
