This couldn't possibly be happening. There's already enough information given to Kyanite, she doesn't need anymore. With pain controlling all of her attention, a voice still draws her out of it. The entire time her roommate has been awake, and even worse paying attention. Vy can feel her heart sink with disappointment, even more so then when the true relations with her daughter was discovered. The bad relationship with she has with her mother, probably the entire reasoning for her horrible attitude, is to stay unknown. Even Brittany would of played it relatively sweet if she knew that the other patient in the room was actually awake. Instead everything was split out into the open, just more information for Kyanite to use against Vy.
"I wish I could." Vy comments to Kyanite question of who that chick was, though she clearly heard everything and knows very well. Great, as if there wasn't enough for Vy to owe. She moves her entire face to gaze at the other side of the wall as she feels her face flush with redness. Just, great. And now Kyanite has the nerve to say she's unable to believe Vy just handed Brooklyn off, and whether Brittany's capable of taking care of her. Well that's obvious enough, and certainly she's only giving rhetorical questions. Still the concern Ky has over Brooklyn manages to win Vy over.
"Hardly." Vy answers with her face still turned away with embarrassment. "But she treats Brooklyn a lot better." That's a bit painful to actually say. She always knew that her mother treated the baby better then she ever did for Vy, but she simply ignored the fact. All that matters now is a better life for the one that stands a chance. "Trust me on that. She knows i'd kill her if she harmed her in the littlest way." Hopefully that's only expressing Vy's protection over Brooklyn and not giving more information about her own past.
As if Kyanite's going to chase after them, she sits up in bed and hangs her legs over the side. Nothing else occurs after that though, clearly she actually is overtaken by the drugs a bit. If only they actually drifted her off the sleep, that'd leave Vy with an easier life currently. The question of what Brittany's problem is with her, and whether Brooklyn's going to be okay escapes. It's all a first for Vy, as she first takes it as annoying, though she realizes it may just be concern. With so much on the line already, there's nothing else to lose. Maybe a solid understanding will keep this secret as underground as the fight they participated in.
"She loves Brooklyn as much as anyone else..." Vy shares feeling that her face is finally back to normal so she returns her gaze to the ceiling. "Just not me." The softness begins to dissipate the longer Brooklyn is gone, and she's stuck in the bed with this anger. "Why the hell does it matter?" Suddenly her guard returns as she comes back to her senses. Now Kyanite has way too much to work with, this can't be good. "Mind your own damn business." Her gazes returns back to the wall that keeps her face opposite from her roommate's. This has been enough of a conversation, and now she regrets every bit of what just happened.
