ALLYSSA ▲ TORNHELL The snow outside, melting and turning the world to a slushy death trap. Numerous times already, I have slipped and fallen trying to run across rooftops and I believe I am going to be avoiding them, at least until this damn slush goes away. My blue eyes scan for an alternate route towards Masons place and I find a route that looks to be a lot less icy than the others, it will take me longer to get there but I would prefer not to break my ankle thanks. I pull the hoodie closer to my head, feeling the cold wind bite against my skin and I pick up my pace until I am racing over the ground towards his home. It doesn't take long before I arrive at his home, my feet have been sure over the icy ground although, I did slip a few times. Walking up to his front door, I decide that I would likely be welcomed by his parents. Normally, I wouldn't introduce myself to the parents but it may keep me occupied while I wait. Knocking on the door, I see a woman peak through the door and look at me. She smiles brightly. "Hello, is Mason home?" I inquire. The woman smiles, opening the door. "Yep, he is. First door up the stairs and to the right. You must be Ally. I'm so glad Masons got something else distracting him from always training." His mother, I'm assuming, says. I smile and follow her instructions. Finding the room, I knock. "Mason, you ready?" I call. Time with Ally. It still amazes me to this day how we got together. That night when I had been ready to kill Nick, but she stopped me. Something clicked during that confrontation. My love for her almost comes close to how I feel about training. No longer is my life entirely filled with the training regime that I've made for myself. Now I have Ally to spend time with. It still feels weird caring about someone when that's the last thing I need heading into the games. It's nice being with her, but my departure would only bring out the monster that now lies dormant inside of her. I've noticed a chance with her. It seems to me that monster comes out when I'm not around. I want to pacify Ally's anger, but that's easier said than done. Maybe with more time together my goal will be accomplished.

"Mason, you ready?" Oh crap, I forgot that she was coming. Well I better go meet her before she slits my throat. As soon as I open my bedroom door my arms surround Ally in a massive bear hug. "I'd say sorry about the hug, but I'm not." I take her hand and lead her to the exit. With a wave goodbye to my mom, Ally and I leave my home. Having Ally step inside my home turned out to be a little weird considering the last time she had been was when I didn't know her all that well. Now look at us. Probably the most dangerous couple in the district. A killer like her and the massive career that is me. How much longer this can last remains to be seen. As much as I hate to say this, I know my love for training will someday interfere with what Ally wants. I haven't run into her gang yet. I suspect her hand in this.

"Where we off to today Ally? Maybe I'll take on that gang of yours." I laugh when I see her expression. It's quite obvious to me now that she definitely has kept me away from them. Does she think I will be killed by them? If anything that gang should fear the things that'll happen to them. I really want to beat the crap out of them especially that Nick guy. I'd love to show him that I'm a force to be reckoned with. Itching for a fight with the entire gang probably isn't smart, but hey I love to fight. What better way to hone my skills? "So when will I meet that gang of your?"

ALLYSSA ▲ TORNHELL The moment his door opens, I am engulfed in a bear hug that almost completely squishes me against his large body. "Mase, you're..." I don't get the chance to finish because he releases me and looks down at me. "I'd say sorry about the hug, but I'm not." Cheeky isn't he? I laugh as he takes my hand and leads us out of his house. I can sense that having me inside of his house unnerves him but I don't let it bother me as we enter the cool spring air. "Where we off to today Ally? Maybe I'll take on that gang of yours." No, he won't ever take on my gang, that would be suicide and plus, I've grown fond of this boy, well not really a boy, more of a man. He's helped to bring out a side of me that I was not aware that I possesed. I did not realize that I could come to care about someone in a way that wasn't just strictly related to power or money. Who knew I had a softer side? I look up at him with a hard expression. "Today, you are going to help me with hand to hand combat" I say, ending the topic. "So when will I meet that gang of your?" This stops me in my tracks. Surely, he must have a death wish. "If everything works out, never. I don't want you anywhere near them, not because of what they'll do to you but because of what they'll do to us. You'll be put on my Uncles hit list and then I'll be sent after you. I don't want that to happen. Please, Mase, don't look for them." I say softly, looking up at him, pleading for him not to get any ideas. We walked in silence before coming to the training center. "Today, you are going to help me with hand to hand combat." So this is what she wants me to do today. Not that I expected to meet her gang. It's quite obvious to me that she's been keeping me away from them. Like I need protection though. Not a single one of them can take me on in a fight. Even if they ambush me in a corner, I'm confident that their skill with a weapon doesn't surpass mine. "Hand to hand you say? I'd crush you in a heartbeat Ally." Not an opinion but fact. Except Ally beats me anyway. I'd love to go full strength one day, but that would mean hurting her which I refuse to do. I do enough self defense to keep her from suspecting my half asses effort in sparring. She did beat me a lot in the past, but my effort hasn't been one hundred percent since we became a couple.

"If everything works out, never. I don't want you anywhere near them, not because of what they'll do to you but because of what they'll do to us. You'll be put on my Uncles hit list and then I'll be sent after you. I don't want that to happen. Please, Mase, don't look for them." Of course she wants me to avoid the gang. It annoys me that my own girlfriend thinks me weak. I don't want to fight Ally to the death, but she has to know if we broke up that I'd be on my constant guard against her. I'm not some helpless being. I'd be a much harder target for her to kill especially after knowing her for so long. She has her secrets rightfully so, but I know enough about her to defend myself if it came down to it. "As if you could kill me. Your uncle would be foolish to send you after me." It pains me to say that, but I know my words must be true. Why send someone after me if I know their game?

We finally arrive at our destination after some time walking in silence. Ally mutters something when I see exactly the person I've been wanting to meet. "Ahh Nick is it? You here to die? Do you prefer a snapped neck or slit throat." Ally will not like the demon taking over me, but really it's not like kindness will get one far in the arena. In this world you kill or be killed. I plan on living. I yank free of Ally's grip to march toward Nick. This fool will die. Ally will not be able to stop me this time. If she tries it'll hurt me. I do hope Nick isn't still the one she wants to be with. A confrontation between Nick and I is inevitable.

My first instinct when I saw Nick was to take Masons hand and walk away but now that he'd seen said person, there was no way I could let him follow through with what he was planning. I knew just how much he hated Nick but I never thought he would be stupid enough to act on it. This is why I need to be more careful I chastise myself before he releases my hand. Alarn bells ring inside my head as I reach for him.

"Mason, leave him, he's not worth it." I say soothingly. Nick snears at me and I scowl back. What the hell was I thinking when I began dating him? "Who's this, Ally? New toy?" he completely ignored Masons threats and istead turned to me. I narrowed my eyes, the monster Mason had been able to tame raising its ugly head. "Why the hell do you care?" I hissed. His next move I was certain would cause Mason to kill him. He wrapped his arms around me and crashed his lips with mine. I shoved him away, trying to wriggle free. My hands reached for Caido and without thinking, I slashed at him, causing him to release me. "What the fuck Nick?" I snarled at him.

"You bitch. You cut me with that fucking dagger of yours. What the hell did he do to you Allyssa because this isn't you" he snarled back. I scowled, my anger bubbling up. "He didn't do anything, but he's a hell of a lot better at the boyfriend thing than you ever were." Upon saying that, I retreat behind Mason and lace my fingers with his. "Go hide behind him, why don't you, Ally. Why dont you stop being a fucking coward and face me, or are you too scared" his tone became mocking at the end and I felt tears threaten in my eyes. "Do whatever you want to him Mase, I don't care" I felt the tears stream down my cheeks and I feel Caidos blade dig into my palm to the point where blood wells up. Fuck. "We're done Nick." I hiss.

"Mason, leave him, he's not worth it." Ally expects me to leave him alone? That has to be one of the most idiotic things ever. I've been waiting for a meeting with Nick and now I have it. To think of walking away from him just sickens me. Ally is a fool for trying to protect him. I don't know why she would, but she must care for him in some way. "Who's this, Ally? New toy?" She expects me to leave him alone after that? Me a toy to Ally? Like that will ever happen. I know my strength is a more than a match for Ally's skills. I'm done being held back. It's time I do what should have been done a long time ago. Dealing with her pathetic gang will only serve to make me happy. They have caused me enough harm for the last time.

"You bitch. You cut me with that fucking dagger of yours. What the hell did he do to you Allyssa because this isn't you" I almost miss her cutting Nick with her dagger. If not for Nick being pissed off, I'd be angry myself. Here she is telling me to leave him alone only for her to take a swing at him herself. Though she was kissed by him which only furthers my anger toward him. "You will pay for that Nicky. Just you wait." Ally retreats behind me lacing her fingers with mine. I don't blame her now for hiding. That bastard kissed my girlfriend and for that vengeance will happen. I hear Ally tell me to do whatever I want to him. Finally I can beat the crap out of this worthless human being. I let my fist fly toward Nick's jaw. A cracking noise makes me smirk. This fool had it coming.

"We're done Nick." I can feel my heart shatter inside. What do those words even mean? Was Ally cheating on me this whole time? I want to deny that, but with how protective she was of him, I see that she had been cheating. "No need to leave him Ally. It's us that's over." I make eye contact with her to convey how hurt I truly am. Her words have driven a knife right through my heart. I've given so much to be with her and making her happy only to find out I've been cheated on. Maybe I'm not meant to be happy. Instead of killing me this could have been the plan from the very beginning. Get me to care only to have my heart shatter. I drop eye contact and take off in the district hoping to find her gang so that I may kill them.

I need to learn to watch my tongue. The one tiny slip of words that I never intended Mason to hear he has managed to hear and I know he's hurt. I haven't actually been with Nick since Mason and I got together but I haven't exactly broken up with him either. Perhaps I should have done that before getting into things with Mason. Now, it would seem, it's coming back to bite me in the ass. "We're over Ally" The hurt in Masons voice is palpable as he turns and takes off. What have I done.

I glare at Nick who has a whicked smirk on his face and I growl. "You better go run after your boy toy, Ally, before he gets away." I have an idea as to where Mason is going but I don't know how to explain things to him. "Nick, can I ask you why you turned from being a sweet boyfriend to a possessive ass hole?" I ask. He shrugs and before I can act, his arms are around my small body and he traps me against him. I try to wriggle awa from him but he tightens his grip and covers my mouth, his other hand relieving me of Caido. "You knew what I was like, you never should have left me," I bite his hand, my teeth clamping down until I taste blood and his hands release me. I scramble away, pulling the dagger from my boot. "Leave me the hell alone Nick, I'm done with you. If I ever see your sorry face again, I'll kill you. Leave the Tornhells, you're no longer welcome." My voice becomes dangerously soft as I glare at him.

He doesn't see it coming as I launch myself at him and take back my dagger, straddling him in a very dominant way. This is why you never piss off Allyssa Tornhell, she's very unpleasant when pissed. I can feel the monster I have been fighting the last few months begin to raise its ugly head, violence that is my very nature flowing through my veins and I feel my heart quicken. I had forgotten how good it felt to be in control of a situation, how good it felt to see my victim helpless beneath me. Nick looks up at me, hatred in his eyes but there's something else too, fear. He has rarely ever shown fear, it was something he prided himself on, yet here it is, sparkling in his dark eyes. I scare him, he knows what I can do and it scares him. This brings a smile to my face.

"Get the hell out of my sight." I say, releasing him with a cut for good measures. He glares at me one final time before slinking off into an alleyway. I will alert Colin and Indi about him, keep him away from me. My eyes fall on the direction Mason went in and I begin to run, my feet carrying me on a hunt that could end either well or terribly.
