Brick took a liking to anyone that reminded her of her big brother or how she thought her big brother might of been. He had always looked up to the peacekeepers and if the game had not taken him from them she figured he would be one by now. She actually figured he'd have pushed their Uncle out of command though that was hard to do. She also took a strong liking to anyone that her Uncle found to be right up the alley of wonderful peacekeeper. The fact that her Uncle liked him gave her all the more reason to help him out. It was just what she did. It also helped that he was handsome but she knew he was taken so that wasn't even part of the bargain there. She just liked being extremely helpful. That was her being completely honest with herself. He wanted this more than some of the others she had seen and that alone was enough really.
To be brutally honest with herself she needed at break and she needed a break and she needed to find herself a man. She would never admit that of course. Brick shook her head when Matt asked her if she wanted him to set her Uncle straight. "I think I did that pretty well myself, but thank you." She wasn't even phased about it really. She just hurt and it wasn't something that wouldn't eventually heal over time. He never did anything that made it hard for her to do her job. She on the other hand did because it was a reminder that she wasn't some delicate flower that they could push around. It was just the way the family handled things because all of them aside from her had trained for the Hunger Games since the time that they could walk. She had no other choice but to show them through violence that she was a part of the family.
Brick knew it was stupid and not a good relationship to be in but it was family so she couldn't help it. She laughed when he said she was well informed. "I try to be." Being informed meant that she might be able to help in some other way. It also meant that she was on top of things and she had a few people who were willing to give her the time of day to answer her questions. She liked to know the status of those she helped and of those going through the academy. After all training changed a person and they were just about to enter the last phase that would change them the most. She knew that Matt could do it but there was that little bit of doubt because what was about to start would be hard and painful. She shook those thought off as he started to answer her questions.
"Alright, just make sure you aren't fearing anything other than the test. After all you don't want to bring outside baggage in. It would make things all the harder. This is to test your aptitude to different situations and to make sure that you can do the things that no one else would want to do. I can't give you more than that because it would ruin the test. But there will be fears you have to overcome." That was all she really could say about them. She stood up and opened the door back up for him again. That was after she put her sunglasses back on so she wasn't showing the world her complete shiner. Of course it wasn't like half of them didn't already know something was up. "Alright I do believe we are ready to begin."
Her Uncle immerged from the crowd and directed the cadets into a waiting area. "This is where you will all be waiting for individual assessment but for now all of you may enter this one is your group assignment." She and her uncle would be watching from monitors so that they could monitor reactions to the situation they were being put into. The first step calm down a riot where the members of the riot were people you knew closely and may or may not be a sibling, parent, or significant other.
