Now it's sort of funny to hide away the innocent secrets they've kept before, such as Vy's undeniable attraction to Jeran. That in itself is exactly why she's so upset, for what horrible things she just did to someone she's fallen so greatly for. Perhaps she shouldn't be angry at him for fearing a similar event with Brooklyn, he just doesn't understand how impossible that scenario is. The weight below her might of been nothing similar to Jins, but it was a man's body, and that much she can comprehend from the event. Just knowing that thought has crossed his mind is what's killing her though.
Could danger to her daughter ever actually come from her hands? Never.
It's excruciating to hear that Jeran doesn't believe her. He's convinced that Brooklyn wouldn't of shown any signs if she was Vy's first victim. "If I hit her for the first time in her life, it would of been obvious." Might as well try to argue her case, though there's hardly any protest behind her voice. More along the lines of defeat as she attempts to numb this newly formed pain. Ever since Brooklyn was born, she's been determined to give that tyke a better life then she had, and violence in the primary key in that statement.
There's nothing else to say, no argument to make, or point to get across. His face is even cleared of the initial damage, giving Vy the approval to at least cope alone in the corner of the room. An apology comes forth before she disappears into the shadows, wanting desperately to hide away from anyone, especially the one she's hurt so badly. He expresses that he's unsure of what to say, which is exactly why she's decided to retreat into herself, she's just as baffled as he is.
Commotion comes from the center of the room, actually pulling Vy's eyes away from the blank wall to see what's going on. Despite his condition Jeran's decided to venture closer to her for the first time tonight. Is he not scared of her anymore? Perhaps he's not since he questions if she trusts him. "Of course I do." She answers immediately, yet quietly like all of the other times. Her voice simply refuses to go that high.
Tears jolt down her cheeks when he reassures that he still trusts her back. Why? After everything. She swiftly wipes them away before gazing over to him questionably. He request sitting next to her, and the impossible occurs as she feels a huge weight being lifted from her shoulder. Somehow he doesn't completely hate her after everything. "Then lets go to the couch." She agrees softly, maneuvering to her feet prior to supporting him back to the comfortable seating. Last thing he needs is a hard floor beneath him.
"Any nausea or anything?" She questions once they're back on the couch. Best sign of knowing of any concussion symptoms.
'Course that's not going to be the end of the difficult conversation though; and before he has a chance, she cuts back to it. "Brooklyn's far too small to be confused as Jins, so is Kyanite." She feels the need to reassure, as painful as it is to speak about. "But if it makes you feel better, I'll go see someone about it. Okay? I'm really glad you care about my daughter." It's a first to say the least, and she'd do anything to keep it that way. Her still shaky hand goes to a clear side of his face to coax. "I'm so sorry." Could say that a million times before it even makes a dent.
