Name: Phresh
First choice: Brynden "Bloodraven" Fontaine (like fountain? lol)
Character ideas: The youngest of all his brothers and born prematurely, Brynden was seen by his family as the runt of the litter. When his family was plotting the downfall of the Darkfires, who ran a rival business, Brynden was one of those chosen to be entrusted with lies that would bring about the Darkfires' downfall, believing that he was the most expendable of their children in the event that he was found out. His parents were overbearing and often cruel, and they offered no helping hand in his upbringing except for a slap across the face when they saw fit. Loyal to his prestigious name but alienated by his family, he set his own path to becoming a self-made man, determined to best even his older brothers as a careerand command the respect of his father.(This could potentially be something that attracts Shiera to him, that he's unlike the Darkfires but also unlike his own family.) Brynden originally tried to sleep with Shiera to get under Aegor's skin, but developed feelings for her later on and becomes rather smitten. Still insecure deep (deep deep deep deep) down about being rejected as being scrawnier than his brothers, he won't stand any insults from the Darkfires or being treated as "less than" by them. The eye to him was expendable, he keeps telling himself, and he would withstand more than that if he had to. He constantly has something to prove, even to the point of seeking out conflict with the Darkfires at times, possibly to make a martyr of himself.
I also picture Brynden as having some cognitive dissonance about what he did, because he was used as a pawn in his family's agenda, but was still unloved by his father. The fact that he himself helped bring about the Darkfires' demise fuels the fire for his hatred of them, because every wrongdoing on their part is more justification for what he did.Does that make sense I stink at thoughtsSecond choice: Daena
