The unleashing of the three Experiments struck fear into your heart, but their rampage wasn’t deadly. Not a single tribute fell to their carefully constructed attacks. That would bring you comfort, but you’ve watched enough recap videos over the years to know better. Their retreat can only mean worse things are to come.
For the first time in days, a breeze picks up as the sun sets. At first, it’s a relief. Then, as the anthem swells, it starts to feel like a cold portent on the back of your neck.
Phi Parallax, District Seven
River Styx, District Nine
Sarina Izar, District Eleven
Twelve gone, only twelve remain. You’re halfway to home, but eleven more must die for you to get there.
Congratulations on surviving Day 5!
The breeze continues throughout the night, never gusty, always present. It brings the temperature down a few degrees, making it easier to sleep.
