The Spire

Centered in a round, open cavern in the north of the arena is a strange rock formation, a stone spire that reaches up towards a seemingly endless ceiling. A small stream of clear water trickles continuously down its side. From far away, its surface looks rough; upon closer inspection, though, it seems that hundreds of names have been carved into the stone. On this mysterious spire the names of all deceased former tributes stare up at the current competitors, reminding them of who they are soon to become.
