Mr. Z is awake before the rest of you. His eyes are aimed up toward the blue and yellow sky. It is sunrise, and as he had informed you all over the past few days, the journey toward District Thirteen was about to begin. The evergreen trees smell fresh, and while the ground is cold, there's a new energy around camp. No longer are you waiting, survival is no longer the objective. Destiny is. Mr. Z scolds you, along with the rest of the group, about how your actions in the districts will determine your fate.
"It is believed that to gain entry into District Thirteen, we must collect twelve insignias, one from each of the districts. This is why we cannot simply go through the woods to reach our destination. We will go through District One first. We'll be there in two days of travel."
Insignias? What could those be? And why does District Thirteen want them?
Mr. Z leads you on his path. You hope he's right. District Thirteen can be your new home: wanderer no more! All you need to do is survive.
this thread is the prologue to the Wandering Defiance plot! members of the plot may post here as they please, but this thread is not mandated. the first mandated thread in District One will begin Friday, December 24th and end of Wednesday, January 5th to account for the holiday & New Years' season. this thread will also close on January 5th.
there is, however, incentive to post in this thread:
all posts in the Forest and District One, aside from the one mandated District One post, will grant five bonus "survival points" per post, for a maximum of twenty points. in rounds where dice will decide your fate, if you fail, you may use these points to boost your roll and save your character.
