Hi Elijah,

I hope you have a nice ratmas or winter fest, if you celebrate it. If not then, have a nice winter! If winter can even be nice. The cold is awful this time of year. Too many clothes to wear and the snow is so disruptive. The streets here fill with awful sludge but it is funny watching all the morning commuters slip and slide as they try and make their way to work.

Well, I have enclosed my gifts. I hope you like them? They will probably give away where I come from and who I am, but I hope you enjoy reading them. District Three is another science District so hopefully they will not go to waste. Though I won’t mind if you burn them to keep warm or something like that. It is after all, winter.

The books are ones I used in studying, I have read them back to front and wish to pass them on. Also, one is a book that my friends and I created. It is filled with the dares and adventures we have played since we were little kids. I know you are not a little kid (though they haven’t told me your age) but maybe you can have a little adventure and play in District Three too?

It would be cool to have pen pals all over Panem, I already correspond with a lot of people. My replies will be slow but I will always try my best to send you at least two, maybe three letters a year if you would like!
