At first, Victor had been slightly annoyed when the young trainer from the training center walked into his party. He was sure she wasn't there for her love of him, but as he watched her down one drink after another after another he felt himself gravitating towards her, eager to take advantage of her in her drunken state. Though he would be lying if he were to say he wasn't thoroughly intoxicated himself, his mind not as sharp. Lots of room for mistake and error, something that he was determined to stay away from if he could help it.

Now he stands beside her, throwing a charming smile down at the girl who set his nerves on fire, "Freya, my dear, I am so glad you could make it!" I give her a one-armed hug and a lingering kiss on the cheeks, before pulling away with a knowing glint. "So what do you think of my humble home?" Around them the ballroom had been lit up, tables adorned with gold and silver coated china. It looked like something out of this world, something that only money could buy.

"I didn't think you would show your face here, maybe it is that I really am just that irresistible." He winks as slowly the crowd around us became smaller until it was just the two of us.

Originally I was doing a decent job of talking about my counter-campaign for mayor. But as the drinks flowed, I started forgetting why I was there and my brain become foggy. My skin felt tingly and warm, and I got a drunken smile on my face. If this was a bar rather than a fancy dinner party I'd be screaming woo and then hopping on a mechanical bull right now. Yes I'm a woo-girl. What 20-something year old girl isn't one?

By the time Victor approached me, I was already more than a little buzzed - I was drunk. Sober me would have found that suspicious, I would have known he's a snake and he always has ulterior motives. Victor Strauss only cares about himself, after all. But I wasn't sober. Right now all of the world was a party, and that included Victor. And right now? I didn't care he was probably the worst human being on the planet. He was hot. I mean his FC is Ryan Reynolds for Ripreds sake! Whoops, fourth wall.

Normally when he kissed my cheek I would have slapped him, but instead I kissed his cheek back in response. I couldn't help but be honest with him in my drunkenness, though he clearly had something to drink too.

"Party is great! It's all super fancy! Though I didn-" hiccup "come for you! I came because I'm running against you for mayor, silly. But you are pretty irresistible, handsome."

It surprises him when she desert recoils in discuss about the feeling of his lips against her cheek. Instead she returns the favour, kissing his all so gently across his cheekbone. Maybe luring out some secrets were going to be easier than he had anticipated. It seemed that her walls were down low enough that the big bad wolf wasn't so scary. It helped that he was insanely handsome. Charming ladies, and even the men, was something that victor excelled at, it was one of his tactics in winning the election.

The other tactics were not so clean, and involved a little bit of violence and getting his hands dirty.

"Party is great! It's all super fancy! Though I didn- come for you! I came because I'm running against you for mayor, silly. But you are pretty irresistible, handsome." Words slurred and rocky over hiccups he maintains his hold of her, wrapping his arm across her shoulder as he directed them to one of the low sofas out in the courtyard.

He had heard the whispers of her running, and though it had irritated him at first, he didn't think that she faired much of a chance against him. She was young and useless, she didn't have a tactical, strategical mind like his own. One that had be polished over years of leadership and, well, just years.

"Ah, so you do think I am insanely attractive," he purrs, looking down at her with a smirk, eyes dancing between her own and her lips, teasing her, provoking her. "Tell me a secret," he whispered into her ear as he brushed a kiss along her jaw bone. "Something you haven't told anyone." Something that could be used against her when it came that time.

I may have been hella drunk. I may have admitted things I shouldn’t have, like the fact that despite him being one of the worst people on the planet he isn’t exactly ugly looking. But I still wasn’t stupid enough to tell him anything like that while drunk, no matter how convincing he was. Part of me wanted to let my guard down and tell him about all the worlds problems, but I knew he was a snake still. And my soon to be political opponent. But hey, drunk me also wanted to have some fun.

I wanted him to think he won for a brief moment, just so I could rip victory away from him. Just like I ripped victory away from him when we had that fight. Just like I wanted to rip away the mayorship from him. Here’s the thing, I didn’t want to win. If I was mayor I wouldn’t know where to begin. What I wanted to do was prevent him from winning. If a third person ran and I got enough potential Victor voters to vote me he might lose.

I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him close. I spoke in low tones and my lips were so close they were almost, just almost, brushing against his ear, “Y’know I do have something to tell you… I’m drunk, not stupid, Victor.” In my drunk state I couldn’t help but let out a laugh at that. I thought I was hilarious. Though if I was sober I wouldn’t have gotten that close to him, he probably liked it.

It seemed that he had come in too eager, too strong because when she pulls him closer, fingers twisted in the collar of his shirt, voice low, seductive, she breaks the hold he imagined he held over her. He could still feel the touch of her lips as they skimmed his ear and when she pulled away, looking at him with a look that screamed triumph he simply smiled at her, trying to hide his frustration, instead he smirks down at her.

He remembered all too clearly that day she had made it clear that she was not, and would never be interested in him. But her she was, in his arms, cheeks flushed and a hunger behind her eyes that he was sure she didn't know was there. Or she did, and she didn't care to hide it, feeling intoxicated and carefree she just wanted some fun.

Maybe it wasn't secrets he might steal from her tonight, maybe it was-

He closes the distance between their lips, roughly pressing his mouth to hers, one hand still wrapped around her shoulder, the other moving to cup her cheek.

The way he was looking at me, I hated the way that I loved it. Even in our little fight, I hated the way some of the things he said made my nerves light up. Even demons can be charming, handsome too. And he was the Devil himself. But, maybe I was a sinner. Maybe for just one night, I was ready to let go.

When he kissed me, I kissed back. I was practically climbing onto his lap at that point. But, I pulled away and kissed along his jawline up to his ear, "You're still... you're still an ass, and no one will believe you if you tell them any of this." I wanted this, I did. But I wanted to make sure he didn't have the last laugh. He was just so tempting.

And I didn't think about how much I might regret this in the morning. But that was for me to deal with when the time came. So I put a hand gently on his thigh, "Mind leading the way there...?" I didn't need to say where to, we both knew what I meant.
