She heard the crunch of bone and the concave face of the creature they were up against. it didnt take long for it to fall to the ground before the lake had decided to swallow part of it up again. Elle was slightly relieved, mostly because it seemed like she took the blunt end of the fight. Usually, Elle would be a little more territorial about this, but she figured that right now, it was just not her place.
The moonlight illuminated the scene, and she had been waiting to hear a cannon in the moments that passed. When she didnt, she figured that maybe this was just another day to see if the weakest of tributes would take care of themselves. She knew that the capitol wanted a show, and the stronger tributes to survive would definitely give that to them.
She let her axe rest beside her as she sat on the ground, pushing her bag just a little further away because she did not want to catch a whiff of the garlic too closely. She knew that she could probably stomach it, but the stench was definitely getting to her. Luckily her mind was still laser focused on the goal of all of this.
She realized that the girl from two had never really given her a response, or even uttered a word. In this moment though, Elle could see everything in front of her. both of them had changed, but into polar opposites. Elle had only heard stories of werewolves, her father telling them to her before she went to bed in order to motivate her to treat everyone else like a monster. Elle didnt develop a villain or monster complex thankfully, but she was still a little caught off guard.
"so you lead with the silent but deadly tactic huh?" Elle offered, figuring enough time had passed for her to at least give the career from two some credit where it was due.
It was up to her to follow up of course.
