Ratmas Day 9 - Admin Mayors & High Council Update

The Rose Plague has touched every corner of Panem.

Even the mightiest have fallen.

Despite the very best efforts of the 92nd Gamemakers, the devastation of the Rose Plague could not be fully disguised by the pageantry and gothic horror of the latest Games. As twenty-four tributes transformed, many citizens throughout the country suffered. Things have grown even darker in the aftermath of the 92nd. Alaric Mercer, doctor and Mayor of District Five, succumbed while tending to plague victims. No doubt as a result of this news, the interim Mayor of District Six, Rhea Dias, disappeared.

Over the past several months many High Councilors have died. The surviving Councilors have been far too busy trying to save their own lives and positions to fill them promptly. As the winter approaches, the Council can no longer afford to ignore the widespread deaths and damage the plague has wrought.

A snap election has been called.

All able bodies over the age of eighteen will be considered for the open positions.

We are hoping to fill in the interim and unfilled Mayor and High Council spots!

We are being very flexible with apps for these. In fact, we want you to do your worst: bring us your most corrupt, the most unqualified, the most unexpected people you have. You can submit to any of the below open positions until 1/8/23. And then, we'll put it to a vote for a few days.

You can submit a bio'd character or include a concise description of a new one.

Anyone over the age of 18 will be put to the vote.

At the end of this event, you may have multiple Mayors or High Councilors.

Open positions:

D5 Mayor (Alaric Mercer [tick 12a / calla ], doctor of plague victims, succumbed)
D6 Mayor (Rhea Dias [ali ], missing, presumed dead)

High Councilors:

D3 Liaison (ruled suspicious, investigating a military factory malfunction after many workers called out sick)
D5 Liaison (rose plague confirmed, possibly contracted via farm animals)
D8 Liaison (died in a panic when a blaze started at an anti-Capitol rally in a textile factory)
D12 Liaison (rose plague confirmed)
