Flynn had expressed the importance of allies. I had to find the right allies. Ones that I could trust enough to watch my back, but ones that were strong enough to have my back when push came to shove. If I remember correctly Flynn had aligned himself with a career. One that had helped get him through to the top.

I had found a career... of sorts. She looked like one. Moved like one.

Did I trust her?

The first time we spoke she held a blade to my throat. I think she might have killed me if it weren't for the room being filled with trainers and peacekeepers. I'm pretty sure the girl was unhinged. I hadn't told Flynn yet about the tentative trust I was placing in her when it came to life or death in the arena. I am pretty sure if he knew that he would do his best to talk me down, to choose another. But... But despite not trusting her as far as I could throw her... I kinda liked her- which is so fucking ridiculous, that just the thought had me cackling.

She was probably going to kill me in my sleep-

I was walking from the training room to the elevator when I saw her. Most people had called it a night and were either tucking into one of the gourmet meals the capitol provided or had retired to their respective apartments. But as I was walking past one of the empty supply closets I had notices that the door was ajar, and obviously I had to peek inside. Which was a mistake.

What I found was someone on their knee's praying, I think? or were they chanting? I couldn't tell and at this point I wasn't sure if I wanted to know. She had hair as white as a ghost and arms covered in markings and as I watched I felt the hairs on the back of my neck rise. I felt uneasy, almost like I felt like I was intruding on whatever this was.

It seemed as though the 93rd Hunger Games was filled with a generous handful of creeps.

Swallowing, I shuffle backwards, eager to escape unnoticed. However, I am not so lucky, in my rush my foot getting caught of the door causing me to fall flat on my ass. Cursing under my breath my eyes meet hers, "hi there," I start rather awkwardly, picking myself up off the ground. "What are you doing?"
