68.5th Hunger Games Arena
Gymnasium
Upon being lifted into the Arena, tributes will face the messiest Cornucopia they’ve ever seen. In fact, there isn’t a Cornucopia at all, but a mass of weapons and supplies piled in the center of the room. Tributes line the opposite walls all around, and they’ll quickly realize that they’ll have to make a mad dash for the midline if they want to get anything useful. It’s a large room, to be sure, and there are other odd items sitting around too - namely, a bunch of sports supplies - but tributes should be wary of sticking around, for there’s a much more important game to worry about.
Art Room
From the outside, any tribute wandering by might interpret this room as just another empty, useless space with chairs. The door itself looks straightforward and plain, but upon entering the room tributes will be surprised to find that the classroom oozes of magic. The tables and supplies scattered about the room seem to be floating in midair inexplicably, and the paintings and portraits hanging on the walls are even .. moving?
Girls Bathroom
The first thing a tribute will notice about this room is the blatant sign on the front with a plain symbol of a girl on the door, one that should probably be ignored, considering that it’s technically the only working toilet in the Arena. Girls and boys alike are welcome, considering that this is a game of murder and nobody really cares for the life’s simple rules anyway - but that doesn’t mean that it’s a pleasant place to hang out. This area of the Arena is dilapidated and dirty at best, and occasionally the toilets will flush by themselves without anyone directing them to do so. Are there monsters lurking in the stalls? One can only guess.
Band Room
Tributes with a taste for music will find treasures in this sound-proof room. Keyboards, drum sets, brass instruments and the like can be found scattered across the carpeted floor in no particular arrangement. The disarray is an ugly sight, but the rows of empty chairs can be a welcoming relief to those who crave a rest. Tributes may create music as they please, but be careful – these instruments have been known to have minds of their own.
Auditorium
This dimly-lit expanse of empty chairs lacks an audience for the main event. Tributes here will find a stage on which to perform a show, with a spotlight pointed directly at the center for those who dare call themselves the star. The space is relatively clean, save for a few broken stage lights and the occasional rip in the royal blue curtains. Just be careful what you wish for, because the term “break a leg” might take a literal turn for the worst.
Cafeteria
This spotless room is filled with empty tables and chairs. There are no windows, but in the back there is a kitchen for all tributes to enjoy. Most if not all of the food has been emptied out, but perhaps if tributes search thoroughly enough they will find something delicious left behind. Don’t trust everything you find, however. Who knows how old that food could be?
Classroom 195
This classroom seems simple enough at first glance, but tributes will find that it once appeared to be some sort of area for the sciences, as there are a number of objects scattered about the room that suggest so, including some suspicious looking chemicals. While some of it may be of use, tributes should be careful when taking a peek at the various supplies, for they might just find that some of them are more dangerous than they seem.
