Argo grew up in a less than fortunate neighborhood in Eight, an only child with no father. From the day she was born, she was free — beholden to no one, not even her mother, who never had the time nor the energy to scold her. Until she went to school and suddenly she was suffocated by a world of rules.
She was a troubled child in school, though she had enough self-preservation not to get herself suspended or expelled. She was quiet, mysterious, and had no friends — until she met Makowi. They were in detention with Mr. Blowsky, their least favorite teacher. They bonded over their hatred for Mr. Blowksy, and teamed up to wreck havoc on his life. They snuck into his backyard at night and cut his prized tomatoes, and left a note from a fake lover in his mailbox for his wife to find, among many other practical jokes.
Since their fateful meeting in detention, Makowi and Argo have been inseparable ever since, and have embarked on a mission to bring chaos everywhere they go. It began at school, sticking it to the man (mostly the principal or Mr. Blowsky) whenever they could. Argo had prior connections in the black market, and so the two have broadened their entrenchment in mischief by disrupting the stock of items commonly enjoyed by Peacekeepers.
They had no one defined mission, but Argo did know one thing for certain: man was made to be free, and anyone who placed restrictions on this innate liberty needed to burn. And so she would make sure that they did.
