The security at the carriage door won't stop staring.
Probably staring.
Maybe staring.
It's hard to tell with the ugly ass helmet.
It's like wearing sunglasses indoors. There's a distinct assholeishness to it. And this asshole's probably the biggest Keeper Roe's ever seen - shoulders the size of whole hams - and they've got a permanent fist on their baton like they think he's just one second away from snapping and attacking everyone onboard - he’s not that stupid.
Yet.
But yeah, he took off when his name was called.
And yeah, when they stuck him in the Justice Building to wait for his non-existent visitors he tried to pry the painted-shut window open to shimmy his stupid self out.
He tried to make a break for it when they got him in the crowded train station, and then he immediately went limp on the platform to try and slink away. That's when someone finally wised up and said hey, maybe we should get this guy immobilized.
He's already tried the charming thing - the c'mon sweetheart, let me out, I don't bite - but all it got him was an extra chilly dose of that cold anonymity
Fine, whatever.
They're probably ugly under the helmet anyway.
Now his ankle's attached to the leg of the bench which is attached to the floor. At least they've got it so he can look out the window. He still has to piss supervised.
Roe shifts, stares at the window some more, and then gets decidedly bored. The panic of being Reaped wore off sometime within the last hour. The panic of going off to die hasn't quite kicked in yet. His strategy of just ignoring everyone else starts to get old real fast. His heel starts to tap against the floor, his knee bouncing. All the good, rational parts of his brain started dying out a few years ago. It's all just been reactionary since then.
He turns to the poor guy that got dragged here with him and clears his throat to talk at a very normal, very indiscrete volume. It might've even come across as joking if he didn't have that gleam in his eye.
"Pass me that fork, I'm gonna stab the guard."
