It's nice to see sunlight, despite still working. With the go kart event in the science fair, Vinay's father felt it was right to have him go out and experience it. Get some field experience in the actual game concept to see if there was anything worth adding. He accepted, but moreso for the ability to leave that damn basement. It's safe to say that he doesn't expect the game to actually take off from the field study; it's hard to really mimic go karting with victors and make it appealing to the people. The boy asked if any of the other kids could go, but there was "no time to waste" with the project, so it was just him and the other racers. It made sense - there was no multiplayer interface really planned yet. The other children have asked if it was ever going to happen, but that's a later problem.
Vinay believes that problem will never be addressed. Though this real race comes first - maybe they could use the trophy as an inspiration design for the game. Is it design theft if he's won the designed item? He's unsure, but his father probably would find a way to slide out of that federal offense.
At least the map with this one won't just die mid race.
