She knew she shouldn't have come back here. To the lodge. To look for him. It was a mistake. Reckless. Risky. Exciting. Her heart was racing as she dashed and darted through the shadows, clinging to walls and holding her breath whenever she heard a floorboard creek or the wind blow too hard. It wasn't easy stealthing around now that she was actually doing it. She thought being small would help, but it felt more like a hindrance. Looking up, there were beams above, the perfect width to scale. But there was absolutely no chance she could get up there. 

Pressing onward, she started to hear voices. Familiar ones. The boy that had been following around Lucky - she still couldn't understand why he'd put up with it. At least she had chose a higher district shield. And Xylia. The mute from One. Or at least Rita had thought so. Guess she just didn't like her. Because now, in front of just Gunner and Lucky, she wouldn't shut up. She swore she was meant to stood there for a full twenty minutes while they chatted before the other two shuffled off to explore. 

Finally.

My heart swelled as he was left there all alone. Now's my chance, she thought, and swiftly closed the distance. She thanked the universe for guiding him down the few steps leading into the next room, and took advantage of the vertical match. For once. 

Reaching up, she wrapped her arms around him and placed her hands atop his eyes. Lips hovering just aside his left ear, she let out a soft sigh, then crooned, "Guess who?" Rita loosed a giggle, unable to control herself, all sense of self thrown to the wind in front of a cute boy. She was all but smitten, but shit... can you blame her? Have. you seen him? Look at that face.

He's gorgeous.

Lucky passed by room after room, looking for a good place to sit down with his neon blue macaroni and cheese soup. It was his reward for the evening after scouting the western part of the arena, having a run-in with the best tribute in the arena, and coming back to plan how to burn the remaining equipment. How were there no tables on this floor of the lodge? He was not a heathen, eating from his palms! Lucky began walking down the staircase to the ground floor, hoping for a dining room or kitchen to eat in.

He found a snack instead– or rather, the snack found him.

"Guess who?"

The laugh was unmistakable. Rita Jakov, back again. Lucky tapped his chin, pretending to be unsure about just who wrapped her palms around his eye and eyepatch.

"Oh gosh… hmm…" He threw his palms over the backs of her hands. "I hope it's the most gorgeous girl in the entire planet." Lucky laughed, turning around into an embrace without hesitation. "Yep. Perfect." His hand ran through Rita's long blonde hair, pulling it out from underneath the hoods and layers she found herself in.

Lucky guided her down the stairs, stepping lightly down each one to avoid a situation with Gunner and Xylia. Would they be happy if they saw him fooling around with one of their top rivals? Of course, they knew he wouldn't hurt Rita until push came to shove, but it was too soon to show those cards.

He pulled Rita into one of the smaller bedrooms, looking her over. "I missed you. I'm glad you're okay. What are your plans?"

Above all else, he wanted to lay in bed with her day and night in the lodge, killing whoever happened upon them and kissing to celebrate. That was not possible, of course, so Lucky opted for strategy instead.
