Tributes wake up to an alarming screech that that ripples through the cold air of the arena. It doesn’t sound like it came from a mutt or an injured tribute though, it almost sounds artificial. Then there is a voice. An annoying voice.
”Rise and shine tributes!” It is Gamemaker Korsch’s voice. ”A deadly snowstorm is on the way and unless you want to become popsicles, the only place you should be right now is The Mines! Hurry now as we’re going to play a game…”
All tributes are invited aka ordered, into The Mines for a treasure hunt. Any strays left outside will succumb to the sudden deadly snowstorm!
Once all tributes arrive deep in The Mines, the entrance collapses and tributes are trapped. New tunnels are revealed and the only way a tribute can escape is by playing the Treasure Hunt. All while trying to avoid the crumbling walls around them.
Tributes have been split into groups for each thread. For every post a tribute writes in the thread, they take 4-9 damage to be rolled at the end of their post. Once a tribute has posted 3 times, their tribute gains access to one large chamber full of gold ore, silver ore, coal, and a bunch of diamonds and gemstones, with items like weapons, armor, and drinkable water each trib can claim ONE of, and then they may flee.
Tributes are free to interact with others in their thread, and may attack if they wish. If they do attack another tribute, they must still roll the 4-9 damage dice.
Tributes who were moved to the mines instead of their intended location may choose to gather items at either the mines OR at their original location, but not both.
items available to tributes after posting 3 times are:
- Full/Purified Canteen
- Mining Overalls (-3 weather damage)
- 4 Darts
- Sword
- Spear
- Needle/Thread (2 use)
- Leather Boots (+6 feet)
