4th Tribute in the Sand Dunes

While traveling the Sand Dunes, the 4th tribute to post will find a lone snake wandering in the distance. One can presume it carries some venom that could be extracted and used to the tribute's advantage.

If the tribute chooses not to pursue the snake, nothing will happen.

If the tribute chooses to pursue the snake, roll a 1-10 die and consult the rolls table below.

Roll Table

1: Critical Failure – the tribute takes 5.0 damage and is unable to kill the snake & extract its venom. The tribute is considered poisoned and must use an antidote to relieve themselves. Ouchies.

2-3: Failure – the tribute takes 3.0 damage and is unable to kill the snake, but the tribute is not poisoned. They are able to back away before the snake could do more damage.

4-7: Success – the tribute takes 3.0 damage and kills the snake! They may safely extract its venom and receive a +2 on the first attack they use after applying the venom to their weapon. The snake fought hard, but the tribute fought harder!

8-10: Critical Success – the tribute takes no damage and kills the snake! They may safely extract its venom and receive a +2 on the first attack they use after applying the venom to their weapon. The snake never saw it coming!

Venom cannot stack with other poison.

* Tributes with the Mutt-Tamer station, or an ally with the mutt-tamer station, may add a +3 to this roll. *
