Anthony Peterson:
There is no physical injury more painful than an oral injury, and my broken jaw had forced me to grind my teeth the whole sprint away from the cornucopia. There was no blood, but a few nerves had gone loose, and the burning white pain seared my mouth. Every time I breathed, a new wave of pain exploded with the cold breath that rolled over my mouth. I tried to talk to myself, and I could still speak, but it still hurt like hell, and was slightly slurred. For some strange reason, I thought about how I would never be as good looking again, I’d never been particularly handsome, but I had always gotten my way with some of the girls, usually because of my way with words. I snapped back to reality, and of course I realized my looks don’t matter right now, and as a little extra motivation I reminded myself what magic they can do in the cosmetics department.
I finally arrived in at the stream, I just stood in front of it as the blood dripped down my leg, I expected to hear an eerie plop but it just silently landed on my sock. The blood that was to light to fall down to earth yet, tickled my leg painfully. Silent and still, I suddenly burst in to action, ripping off my shirt and, using a rock , I managed to rip the sleeves off my shirt so I could rap up my bleeding bicep, wow I just noticed that my arm’s hole goes all the way through. I winced as I tied it up, and then I tied it up again so that the blood doesn’t trip all the way through. I wasn’t being successful though, and if Emma didn’t need show up soon, with her first aid training, I’ll be in a world of hurt, though I’m not sure how much worse it can get.
After I stripped my shirt off, my pants followed and I tried to cut off the pants at the knees, but no knife was gonna help me there. So I slipped into the water and watched the blood travel down stream, the cool water felt like bliss, and I relaxed for a moment. I was afraid of the mutts though, so I had to get moving. So I walked up stream a little bit, trying to confuse somthing with a good sense of smell, becuase the trail will lead up stream and down stream. Finally settling on a spot, I waited for my alliance, while I waiting though I considere taking a drink of the cool, refreshing, water, but I wasn’t sure, so I elected to wait.
