Hello,
So shrimpeh, being the usual indecisive being that he is, needs some help with choosing an arena. He's got some vague ideas worked out, but he would like your opinions before continuing.
Okay, so here we go:
{Arena 1 - City}
Gage Cooper, D3M Tribute
(Damen, this is my first attempt at RP-ing him, so don't kill me just yet)The metal plate feels rather odd underneath my white sneakers - the stylist insisted that I would have to use them for running. But if I had to run, what would it be from? Or would it be towards something? I contemplate this as the metal plate slowly rises, engulfing everything around me into darkness. Why must we emerge this way anyways? To make it more suspenseful? The Capitol already has people clambering to watch this "important event", so why make the wait longer for them? I assume that they like that gnawing pit in their stomach that I'm experiencing at the moment.
But finally, the light reemerges, and I simply gaze at the arena surrounding me.
It's a city. Or at least, the ruins of one. The cornucopia is in the center of a large expanse, surrounded by dead trees. I can clearly see the rubble of a land that was once great. Perhaps this is one of the grand towns that existed before the dark days? The clearing (perhaps it was a park? But then why would it be so big? Was it a center for social gathering? Perhaps, but if so, what type of events were performed here? Not many require this much space... Maybe people rushed to escape floods by dashing over to this large expanse? It seems like it would be able to house millions. But it's flat... how would that prevent floods? Was this place even flooded? Something must have happened to it... Hmm...) expands for miles upon miles. I wonder how long it will take to travel to the rubble? What is the rubble made of anyways? Glass? Stone? It seems that I will only be able to decipher this if I survive the Bloodbath.
But it is rather clear that this "park" of sorts is in the center of the arena, with numerous miles of building remains scattered across the terrain...
{Arena 2 - Mountain}
Monet Erisse - D6F Tribute
(same here Rosetta, it's going to be hard to incorporate friendliness into this post, so I'll take a different approach)
Why am I here? Why was I, Monet Erisse, a simple girl from District 6, chosen to die? I attempt to prevent myself from trembling as the metal plate begins to rise. This may very well be the last glimpse of the world as I once knew it to be. I give a small wave to my stylist, Chantilly, who smiles and waves back, not hesitating to let a small tear run down her cheek.
She's been like a mother to me these past few days; well more of a mother than my actual parent is. Chantilly was kind, and never hesitated to be supportive. My mother was so involved in her work that she simply was not able to devote any time at all to my well-being. In fact, she hardly stopped in to say goodbye after I was reaped - working on a top-secret experiment that requires on-the-dot timing does make a woman rather stressed.
But I might see her again, if I survive. The thought of hugging my stylist again, my own "mom" of sorts, makes me glow. Perhaps this will help give me reason to go on in the arena; Chantilly did speak about how she couldn't have a child... If I survived, maybe I could be her daughter of sorts. My real parents wouldn't notice anyway.
Nobody can see me now, so I let my legs quiver as I glance at the darkness that's all around me. It's impossible to see a thing - I assume that they want to see our reactions as soon as we reenter the world of light. Oh light, the one thing in the arena that's remotely comparable to pre-games Monet - bright and cheerful.
And it returns, revealing an almost scenic landscape. Well, if you consider desert-like dirt on the ground to be beautiful. The whole ground is layered with clay. The cornucopia is located on an extremely large plain. All around me is merely desert-like rock, but it's not hot out. In fact, it's getting relatively chilly. Directly behind the cornucopia looms a huge mountain - I can barely see the top of it. There's no doubt that it'll play a large role in these games...
{Arena 3 - Forest}
Declain Redici - D7M Tribute
(I actually was planning to RP Luna's charrie, but Declain just said "RP me". So I did. I'm sorry for the horrible characterization Hayley)
Well, this is not what I had in mind when I wanted to "get out of the district".
Needless to say though - I'm here, sitting on my metal plate. I'd rather be able to rest while I have enough time to. My stylist looks at me in a rather irritated manner, but doesn't say anything. Well screw him. He's not the one who is going to be thrown into an arena to ensure the deaths of twenty-three others. But at least if I die, I won't have to endure the endless torture that is my sister.
Ah, Dolly. My love and my foe at the same time. Our taboo lifestyle was due to end at any moment anyways - having a sexual relationship with your twin is not the best thing to do, ever. So eventually, it had to just stop. However, I hadn't thought that it'd end like this - abrupt and painful. Sure, we kissed and hugged after I was reaped, but there was still no way that we'd be the same after this. Either I'd die, or I would be so shell-shocked that nothing would be able to revert me to the crazy, sugar-holic that I am today.
Well, not today, but you know what I mean.
The plate suddenly lurches upwards, and I scramble upwards into a kneeling position. I'm not going to stand, but it's best not to have any limbs outside of the tube - decapitated arms and legs are better left for the arena.
All is quiet as the plate's ascent into the unknown continues - I don't make a sound, and the soundproof tube works rather well. It's unnerving, like I'm already dead. Damn it, I want to get out of here - the darkness and silence together is creating one hell of a creepy encounter. But eventually, the light slowly approaches, giving way to the arena. I slowly stand up, and take a look at the scene that's unfolding before my eyes.
It's a forest, slightly similar to the one in 7. But it's different... The trees are a reddish brown color, and mosses and lichens are growing on the many fallen limbs that surround the clearing that holds the cornucopia. From the looks of things, it's one of the only clearings in this place, so hiding will be essential. But the trees seem to reach so far into the sky... Hiding in the trees may be dangerous, who knows what may be lurking in the canopy...

Okay, so that's that! I will post the actual games on this site, in a new thread (b/c I don't think putting it in after all of the apps is a good idea - makes it too long). Well, I don't know. Either way, you'll be able to read it.
:D
