Alright, so just because I just saw Harry Potter at the midnight premiere, and I'm not going to school(My mom won't even get up to take me), so I'm going to tell you about my Harry Potter experience:
*Slight Spoilers*
Even before the movie started, you could see the excitement that filled the theatre. People of all ages, size, and Houses, were dressed up (I was dressed up too), dueling with their wands, or reading their Harry Potter books for the umpteenth time. The IMAX theatre was huge, and packed. My seat was nice, until some awkward girl decided to share it randomly with me and the guy next to me, because she knew him (Although, I'm pretty sure she didn't have a ticket...ugh), but I'm not complaining. The employees of the theatre brought out a "trolley" before the movie started, and you could buy snacks. A lot of kids ran around, singing songs from AVPM, and laughing with each other. It had an eager atmosphere even before the lights went down.
As soon as the movie started, a hush fell over the crowd (Except for the obnoxiously loud overreacting kids down the row from me). Everything was simply fabulous. The beginning lead EVERYONE in the theatre to tears, including me, just because of the sadness of what was going on, and the fear it invoked. As the movie went on, it just seemed to be getting better and better. Everything was true to the book, and I could quote lines because I'd read them before. Some scenes were seriously emotional, that I was crying (No, not sobbing like the obnoxious girl down my row!!!!!), and some scenes were extremely scary, that when they were over, everyone looked at each other, smiling in relief. In my theatre, at least, everything was loud, and when something popped out of you, it really hit you, or made you jump. It also had the right amount of humor that didn't lighten the dark mood, yet didn't keep it dark and scary the whole time.
The way they told the Tale of the Three Brothers, or the tale of the Deathly Hallows, was unique, cool, and much better than just watching them sit there as Hermione told the story. Finally, as the end drew near, everyone sat there in the theatre, knowing and dreading how it was going to end. It was probably one of the most dramatic and sad endings in a movie, simply because everyone in that theatre grew up with these characters, and it's kind of sad to see them die (Every time this certain character, who I won't name in case you haven't seen it, appeared everyone in the theatre clapped).
At the end, when the screen turned black, everyone cheered, but it was much less enthusiastic, probably because everyone was crying, and going on their phones to write on their Facebook statuses about how amazing the movie was. Overall, I'd have to say that was the best Harry Potter movie ever made. It was full of action, full of sorrow, and perfect for any huge fan of the series, who's been waiting for a movie true to the book, since the Prisoner of Azkaban. I enjoyed every second of it, and would give it 5 stars.
That's what I thought, what does everyone else who saw it have to say?
