Appearance:

Shanks was always hanging with the tall bunch, though he never really lived up to their height. Standing at 5'6 now, he's tried to develop a tan, but it apparently doesn't grow on him. His hair color changes throughout seasons. During the heated summer, it casts a red shade, mixed with a bit of blondish streaks when touched by the sun's prickly fingers. But when coiled in winter's brace, it remains its original dark brown. He's got enough muscle to not be called lanky, but not enough strength to be considered buff.

Personality:

He was always one of those happy kids that warmed your heart when you talked to him. And usually, something tragic happens to a Panemite, but not to this one. He has lived a normal life. Well fed and still happy with a complete family. Quite a joker at times, but can be serious when needed. He's very layed back, but this can sometimes get out of hand to the point where he loses all his responsibility.

History:

Raised by a father who aspired to be a doctor, but was forced to be a fisher and mom who was known for her great cooking. His father, who always idolized District 2; sometimes even imagined escaping to the medical-based District. As an only child, Shanks took his lonesomeness to an advantage to ventured out to make friends. And thus he did. He's quite popular and well-liked throughout District 4. He tried being a Career last year, but it just wasn't for him. Though, he did learn to handle a spear and to hunt down fish. Shanks usually has nothing to say when attending the Reapings. He's neutral about the Hunger Games and though he does pity the lost lives of the tributes, he doesn't bother insulting the Capitol. He just prefers to live his life to the fullest and ignore the dreaded games.
