REWORDING:

Alright, so you would either have a poll (if you are able to have 72 slots that is - oh wow, 69 charries will die after the 56th victor) that contained every single tribute from the past 3 successful games (people would vote for their favorites), or you could make a nomination type of thread/box that people could nominate their favorite tributes in.

The top x amount of tributes would then be placed into a changing picture-type thing (just like the one that's up right now), which states:

Which hunger games they were in
The Name of the tribute
The district of the tribute
Who RP-ed said tribute
When tribute died

I know this would take a lot of work. For starters, finding the face claims and making nominations would be tiresome, and the fact that not many people have the HG font would put the burden on only a few shoulders, and I don't want anyone to stress out about this. This is simply a way to remember the past tributes and how awesome they were ^^

I don't think victors would really be here - this is a memorial.

I personally think this is an amazing idea. When your tribute dies, not only is that one of your creations gone, but that's the last time really that anybody cares for them. It's similar to the We Will Remember things from Mockingjay, reminding all the people that these teenagers fought hard for their lives and just couldn't make it. It's a good way to remind them that there were 23 other people who's lives were taken. Lol.
But obviously, I can't do anything about it xD

Yes, I think that was my intention actually :3
I think it's rather cool, but a very long process, you know?

I mean, first you have to find all of the tributes
Then you have to pick which ones based on public approval. It really should include all of them though, to be fair sometimes, except for victors.
Then the graphics must be made, etc.

I do like my idea, but it would take soo looong.

This is an amazing idea. I agree that it should probably just be fallen tributes and not victors. Damen's already said what I have in my mind, though, so... yeah. Great idea, Shrimp.

Not that it would make any difference, but I wouldn't mind creating every banner if we were to do this. Just simple ones, like what we're using for the "The Hunger Games RPG Supports" banners right now. I like the idea quite a bit, and I wouldn't want the idea to be refused just because of the extra work that it would require.

Yes, I do think that it would be fun to make the pictures (when shrimpeh does not have 4 tests on a single day). We'd need to get the fonts though, and it would be a good idea to know the face claims of said tributes.

The Hunger Games font made by Aya was a present for me. I'm not sharing it.

I wanna hear what other staff think about it. I don't really care about tributes if they're dead, just saying. And if we do this, all twenty-three must be up for this whole thing to be fair.

I do understand your point Saph. Since it is your font, you have the right to keep it to yourself as well. We can't force it out of you or anything xD

However, the sad fact is that people don't always care about dead tributes, and that's horrible. Members put so much time and effort into creating their charries, and when they die it's like losing a part of them. Therefore, I feel that it would be a good idea to shine a light on those who have already died, so everyone can remember them.

Dunno exactly how well this would go...we could probably make it work, but if so then I'd rather have a small banner in a sidebox than the big thing we've got going on now. I think it's best to only have that in that place for the top 5 tribs when they come around. The whole poll/nominations thing is a bit much for right now, but I do think this is a good idea, so we'll consider it, definitely.

Yes, you definitely have a point - putting all of the pictures on the top would lessen the impact, etc. A sidebar would probably be more appropriate.

Anyhow, yes, I've had similar thoughts for awhile. It's not exactly the same, but I've been wworking on a feature for the side that's got a similar concept: acknowlidging the dead tributes that have been a part of making this site successful. You guys should be able to see it within due time, anyhow. Whether this would be nice in addition to, I don't know... might be a bit of overkill. It'd be something to be talked over after I've got the thing I've been working on put up.
